“Oh my! The sandwiches are my favorite! Each time i try a different kind I think now this is my favorite! Until the next time that I try a different one! Lol you really cant go wrong and the ice cream! So many combinations that you will get your sweet tooth hankers satisfied! My favorite hard ice cream there is hands down the lemon bar! Plus the owners are amazing down to earth kindhearted folks! You can’t go wrong stopping in and getting a treat or grabbing dinner for your family! I highly suggest Korner Kone in Dallas Center Iowa”

“Where do I start... we were looking for a locally owned restaurant and landed on trying out Five Points in Dallas Center. Short drive from Grimes and located this gem in the heart of the town. We were warmly welcomed and quite at home. TJ assisted us and we could not.of been better taken care of. I had the Frankenstein dip which had smoked pork and yes, smoked cream cheese on what had to be a locally sourced bun. it was so amazing. Full of flavor. my husband had the rueben and he said it was one of the best he has ever had. We tried the Mac and cheese and the onion rings as our sides... both amazing. I failed to mention our hand shaken drinks... I had a mojito (they picked the mint from their plant right in front of us) and a lovely margarita. Take the short drive and visit them soon. We will be back!”

“My wife and I were there at 4:30 on 9/25/2024. Each ordered a tenderloin. Our server asked if we needed an extra bun, I wish I had ordered the second bun, The tenderloin was half an inch thick and the size of a dinner plate. It tasted wonderful. this was the first time in my life I couldn't finish a tenderloin. Will defintely be back!”

“Quite possibly the best bbq on the planet!! They had lots of gluten free choices.. all meat and sauces are gluten free. Although they served the food with 4 huge slices of bread which seems unnecessary and is totally cross contamination. The brisket was melt in your mouth amazing! The garlic Parmesan potatoes were very delicious!”

“Delicious! Sushi and sashimi we have had has always been fresh! No kids menu but they had helpful suggestions! My kids eat sushi and sashimi so I didn’t have any problems! Sesame chicken is also delicious! Pad Thai is good! I love the Korean fried chicken “starter”… so good and the sauce is on point!!! 🤙🏽”

“I want to give a shout out to Early Birds restaurant in West Des Moines. Kevin was a fantastic bartender. First time I have been here. The food was amazing. I love the atmosphere. The whole concept is great. The menu… too many things to choose from. I got the Cinnamon roll French toast. Delicious. And the Hashbrown holes delicious. It was great to get an appetizer before my French toast. I have to give a shout out to Kevin as he knows everything on the menu plus he has great suggestions for drinks from the bar! Will deffinately be going back again.”

“We have dined here so many times, I've lost count. Our favorites are the Chipotle fettuccine pasta, guacamole, salsa, flautas, the Las Alegres special, quesadillas, and of course, the margaritas 🍹. Small group or large, they can take care of your table without missing a beat. We will be back again and again!”

“Great experience. Only comment would be make sure you ask what is extra with your meal… we were charged for extra bread and each topping on the baked potato WITHOUT knowing until the check came. We were not asked of it we wanted it or ifnit was okay to add on Service was great and food was excellent but did not appreciate the sneaking in a couple upcharges.. then when we asked about it, the waitress seemed confused, said “it comes with it” then why is it an extra charge?? Just left a bad taste at the end of the night. It’s not about the price…it’s the principle and ethics…”

“Just popped into The Coffeesmith to try it out for the first time - I immediately had to run and leave a review bc it’s just that good! I tried the summer seasonal smores latte, I am a smores latte connoisseur, and this one was amazing!! But what really had me running to leave a stellar review? The almond patty pastry. Only one bite into it and I’ve determined it’s going to be something I crave way too often. Growing up in Eastern Iowa as a bohemie, iykyk, I frequently visited Jaarsma’s and know my way around almond pastries of all kinds. The Coffesmith’s almond patty rivals all others! You have to have it! 🤩🥐”

“Went to 5 Borough Bakery today for the first time. My husband and I went 2 hours and 45 min after opening (10:45 am) on a Saturday. Their temporary hours state they're open until 2pm, so still another 3+ hours to go. Unfortunately, they had just 6 options to choose from and said that's all they had left for the day. We chose to go with Cinnamon rolls - they've been so highly regarded, we were looking forward to trying them for ourselves. Individuals were $5, or a 6-pack was $20 (but each roll was quite a bit smaller than what is provided in the individuals). We chose the 6-pack. Once we got home, the cinnamon rolls were very dense, not fluffy, some spots were hard while others were doughy, and frosting had little flavor - a whipped butter frosting (which tasted like there wasn't any vanilla in it, very bland), instead a cream cheese or other flavorful frosting. Overall, we were pretty disappointed with the cinnamon rolls after hearing so much hype about them. This plus the lack of selection and pricing have us hesitant on giving this place another shot.”

“We love this restaurant! We live closer to the Clive location so we order from there all of the time, both dine in and take out. I recently also had them cater a Saturday lunch at work for us and they knocked it out of the park! Eddie is a phenomenal asset to this restaurant. Always friendly and helpful. Great rewards program as well. Highly recommended!”
