“My husband and I live little over an hour away. We enjoy coming to the quad cities often. We by chance decided to try out Monarch Kitchen + Bar based off of their rating. All I can say is I am so impressed. Impressed with the care and quality of food. The wait staff are amazing. I am a person who doesn’t use seed oils at home. To know I can go out and eat somewhere and know the ingredients are fresh and good for you means everything. We stayed two days and ate there for lunch and came back the next day for dinner. We loved the lo mein and the garlic aioli fries, but honestly everything we tried was amazing. It is now our new favorite restaurant in the quad cities. We will definitely be back and will tell our friends. Thank you for making our trip even more special!“

They played the round like seasoned pros: attentive without hovering, polite, and always one step ahead. Their cocktail game was pure shot-making—creative, well balanced, and happily customized to fit exactly what we were looking for. No mis-hits anywhere. The food? Absolute center-face contact. The chicken and dumpling soup was warm, comforting, and full of flavor—like a reliable approach shot that sticks the green. And the ribeye steak sandwich was the ace of the day: cooked beautifully, packed with flavor, and truly out of this world. That’s the kind of shot you talk about long after the round is over. The atmosphere sealed the win. With SantaCon rolling through downtown, the place turned into a holiday scramble—30 to 40 Santas stopping in, high spirits everywhere, and a festive energy that made the whole experience even more memorable. It felt like playing in a charity tournament where everyone’s having a blast and every hole is a good time. All in all, Me & Billy’s delivered a flawless round—great service, outstanding food, and a lively environment. “My family and I were very well accommodated by Colleen (manager) and Erica (server/bartender) for what was an amazing area to host a graduation dinner for family and friends. This private, elegant area would also make a great space for bridal showers, rehearsal dinners, etc. I was obsessed and we were so so lucky to have exceptional service for a short-notice event. We enjoyed the broad selection of drinks from the bar and the delicious food. My favorites were the Mo’ Dough appetizer and the Fowl Play turkey sandwich.“

“Great food, great service and a good atmosphere.

They are a bit more on the pricey side but they also carry better cuts of meat than like a Texas Roadhouse or Lonestar type place.

I have never gotten a bad meal from them dining in, although take out can be disappointing on some occasions so I suggest you dine in at this place.“

“Our Supper Club chose to dine here last Saturday, we had a group of 10. We had drinks and then appetizers, the mint chocolate chip martini and the espresso martini both were amazing! We all bought appetizers to share and they were all great. Every one of us loved our entrée. I had the New York strip, which was fantastic and my husband had a fillet and he said it was fantastic too. We both eat our steaks, medium rare, and they were cooked perfect. After dinner, we did split a piece of heath bar cheesecake and it definitely lives up to the hype! I think all of our favorite part of the atmosphere was the piano player! He was so fun and played great sing a long songs. Our group had a lot of fun singing along with him and dancing in our chairs! Our server/Alise did a stellar job of taking our orders, a timely delivery of appetizers and drinks. But most importantly, our food was all delivered within a few minutes of each other, so nobody was sitting and waiting for their food. Claudia did a great job on making sure everybody had what they needed. Everything was prepared the way we wanted it and the final touch of boxing our leftovers for us, was just the chefs kiss on top of a great evening. We will definitely be coming back.“

“My dad went to Harlan's way back in the 1960s when it was a truck stop. My going there feels kind of like a tradition. The Swiss Steak was to die for! So tender and flavorful, along with the cole slaw and baked beans. Friendly service. Excellent all the way around!“

Went last night to celebrate a birthday and I spent more time waiting for my beer than being able to sit down and enjoy my time. 10+ minute wait for a beer with only 5 People around the bar is pretty ridiculous. Needless to say I was pretty upset by the end of the night.“

“It was my first visit not knowing what to eat . The lady I wish I knew her name .Caucasian mature lady she was exceptional , gave me tips and suggestions. The sandwich was ready in 5mins. No waiting . ** Shocker . The sandwich was great I ate a quarter of it could barely finish it. The king size is great for two meals … jmo . I recommend this if you need a great sandwich . Saved the backed potato for dinner and the rest of sandwich.“

“When we were driving through Iowa, we were told we had to have a maid-rite. So we did, this restaurant was in a convenient location for us. We loved the doner atmosphere, and we were surprised they have a lot of different choices. We ordered the Cheese-Rite and the Maid-rite chili shoe. The order came out quick, hot, and tasted good. Next time, I will need to try an appetizer and a shake cause they looked good.“

“Hadn’t been here for about five years and the only thing that changed was the side the brunch items were located. The food was still very good and the staff was outstanding. “Wow!!! This Culver’s has historically been quite bad with regards to service. We went there tonight and it’s like a new store. They had iPads that they were taking orders on and we pulled up to wait for our food and it was brought out in less than 5 minutes, they didn’t forget anything and they brought out the ice cream with the hot food. We have always loved the food but the service has been a big deterrent. I’m glad to see they are working on making it better.“

“We had lunch at this location after having a bad experience at the Elmore location after the general manager offered to make up the bad experience to us. I’m glad we gave them a second chance. Michelle our waitress was fantastic. She was also working as the hostess of that moment and also was very attentive even though she was the only one in that area. I will be visiting this location again unfortunately unfortunately the original visit we had at Elmore was not good, but at least I know we can come here and get treated well and also the food was good.“
