Walking into West End Lounge as a Drake alum felt a little like opening a Pabst Blue Ribbon on Greek Street before heading into West End but nobody’s trying to recruit you for a group project. The moment I stepped inside, my brain said, “This is where my GPA went to plateau as my social life flourished.”

Sitting there, watching the game, I felt that old Bulldog spirit creeping back in. West End is one of those rare places that grows up with you: still fun, still familiar, but now with fewer questionable decisions and more appreciation for a stiff drink.“

The cocktails are creative and well-crafted, and the jazz adds just the right energy without overpowering conversation. Carlos the server was very polite and even though it got busy at some point he executed with great service.“

“We passed by this place walking around the East village and decided to come in when we saw the day special -double smash burger with fries and a pint for $12!. It was Monday noon so the place was empty and we were greeted right away by Jenny, we sat at the bar and had a fun conversation with her. She recommended us spots to visit, eat, and have fun. Food was great and the portions were perfect. We'll come back when back in town!“

“We were in town for swimming at the YMCA it was a great place for the adults to hangout after a day at the pool.

Emily, Rebecca and all the staff were great! I was extremely happy that they had blue cheese stuffed olives.

My drinks of choice were Filthy Martini's with Tito's, Monk's Old Fashioned and the Smoked Marrow Manhattan. I also had a local beer.“
