“I’ve been accused of being a bit of a breakfast snob, but Tasty Cafe in Eldridge nailed it. The food was fantastic—cooked perfectly and full of flavor. The restaurant was clean and welcoming, and the staff couldn’t have been more friendly or helpful. Honestly, my only “complaint” is that the service was so quick, I didn’t even have time to get any work done before my plate arrived! A great experience all around. I’ll be back!“

“We were out on the Channel Cat Water Taxi and stopped in the Village of East Davenport. After walking around the village shops we found Brew. What a great pub and place to grab a bite. The food was simply fantastic and our waitress was helpful at guiding us through their several selections of brew. We sat outside since the weather was nice. Prices seemed reasonable and the atmosphere was great. I would definitely recommend this place and will go back in the future.

Parking: Parking during seasonal events may be difficult. During regular business hours there was plenty of on street parking.“

“When we were driving through Iowa, we were told we had to have a maid-rite. So we did, this restaurant was in a convenient location for us. We loved the doner atmosphere, and we were surprised they have a lot of different choices. We ordered the Cheese-Rite and the Maid-rite chili shoe. The order came out quick, hot, and tasted good. Next time, I will need to try an appetizer and a shake cause they looked good.“

Went last night to celebrate a birthday and I spent more time waiting for my beer than being able to sit down and enjoy my time. 10+ minute wait for a beer with only 5 People around the bar is pretty ridiculous. The menu has slight changes here and there..They had a Mahn Mi at one time, delicious but the next time we went it was replaced with the steak sandwich but that was eye rolling amazing...lol. They have a patio outside with extra seating and a Corn Hole section and Ping Pong tables. Brought the kids for lunch one day, they enjoyed that. Will always be first choice for a night out.“

“We had lunch at this location after having a bad experience at the Elmore location after the general manager offered to make up the bad experience to us. I’m glad we gave them a second chance. Michelle our waitress was fantastic. She was also working as the hostess of that moment and also was very attentive even though she was the only one in that area. I will be visiting this location again unfortunately unfortunately the original visit we had at Elmore was not good, but at least I know we can come here and get treated well and also the food was good.“

How we'd eat there every other week and how delicious AND inexpensive it was?" We always wish there was a restaurant like this local to us nowadays, but it's a pipe dream. New China is one of a kind.My wife and I recently visited the QC area and stopped by to grab a bite here out of nostalgia. Prices are still super agreeable. Food quality is 110%. The family that opened and worked it are still there (it was crazy seeing the son all grown up!).This restaurant is one in a billion. My wife got her regular order, as did I, and I'm bittersweetly eating my leftovers as I write this. I hope this restaurant sticks around for years to come, and I pray nothing but good things happen to the family who run it. Thank you guys for all the incredible meals over the years! My mom said best hot ham and cheese she ever eaten (she is 74) My husband says the best meatball he has ever eaten (56 years of meatball sandwiches) My grandson loves the spaghetti and trust me, he is 6 and does not eat many things. As for me, the gondi is soooooo good. Treat yourself to a piece of baklava while you are there because it is awesome! This is a new regular spot for all of us and we all grew up with Avanti, but I love your food much more. I can not express the friendliness and quality of the food. A wonderful atmosphere!“
