“We went to rolling wok in Grimes for lunch today and left with leftovers for dinner to!!! The food was so delicious, he had pad Thai (top) and I had Pad See Ew. We both got medium spice level, and it was just the perfect level for me bc I'm a wimp when it comes to spicy. The atmosphere is so warm and inviting, the staff was amazing, friendly and informative. She kept our glasses full and checked on us. We will definitely go back; it's our new favorite Chinese restaurant ❣️❣️❣️❣️“

“First I feel like I have to say there is no where to park and the wait is long even on a Wednesday night. Inside is dark and loud and cramped. My ham and bean soup was very good! Stuffed mushroom appetizer was ok but not worth the $10.50 price. My steak was ok-I’ve had way better. Waitress said I should ask for it well done since the cook usually undercooked the steak and it turned out more done than I would have liked it but the waitress never came over to ask… The asparagus had that woody flavor. Potatoes were good. My bf let me try his onion rings and meatball sandwich and both were very good! Cake tasted old… the staff is very nice but looked a little overwhelmed.“

Their breakfast potatoes were to die for and I don’t do hash browns usually. Chelsey S was a top of the line server. The only minor complaint was the hostess didn’t know if they served Pepsi or Coke products. Just seemed odd her not knowing. I would hands down recommend this for a breakfast place.“

“They catered lunch for a sales meeting I hosted in West Des Moines. We selected Brisket, Pulled Pork, Mac n Cheese and Kue salad. Food was excellent! It was hot and delicious. On site set was great and helpful to walk into a lunch ready to go. I'm looking forward to eating in sometime, but I HIGHLY recommend them for catering needs.“

“My family and I recently stopped at Smash Park in Des Moines on a whim for some family fun and food. The atmosphere was laid back and our kids thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor pickle ball courts and the arcade. Food, dessert and drinks were all crowd pleasers! And to go completely over the top, we left our blanket outside and Jerry answered my phone call, went outside to retrieve it from the bench where I left it, and mailed it back to me free of charge. “One of our local favorites! Discovered Fresh this summer and it’s a regular in our rotation now. Food is reliably delicious, reasonably priced with generous portion, and service is always friendly and quick. The patio is nice in good weather, and actually pretty quiet for being right along Hickman. I also ordered a family meal with a side of falafel for a group dinner I hosted last night - says feeds 4-5, but our group of 6 had plenty to eat plus we have leftovers that will last my husband and I several days. A great deal and mix of food to meet multiple dietary preferences. Highly recommend checking them out!“

“Food is always delicious! I went in after work on Mother’s Day to take home 3 orders of shrimp fajitas and the patio and tables inside were packed. Despite staff being very busy, I still got my order in 15 min and one of the teens working at the register checked on me while I waited to see if I needed anything. I’ve always had excellent service. They have convenient lists of every juice/smoothie ingredient, and even some helpful advice about what kinds of smoothies different levels of health enthusiast will appreciate. Cory, the owner, was kind, accommodating, and efficient. The drinks came quick, too - I’m used to Whole Foods wait time. If you’re in Des Moines and you like healthy juice, go out of your way to visit. (The 4-stars for atmosphere was only because there were some boxes kind of piled next to the counter. “Whatever cheese they use is absolutely amazing. That's one of the key factors to making a great tacowhether it's chicken, beef, or steak. Also, the tortillas they sell are amazing and go fantastic with their signature salsa, but that's the tacos, as for the burritos, I was not that big of a fan(i have not tried the nacho or enchiladas). The great thing about this place is that a lot of the food is really easy to grab, go, and eat, and it is indeed tasty. This is a weird situation where the burritos are cheaper and actually less filling than the tacos. I was not a fan of the sour cream coming in packets, instead of them being able to put it on the tacos themselves or just give me a side of what would seem like fresh sour cream. The service isn't bad, but it's not over the top, great either. The food does come out fairly fast, and they keep things simple, so you don't have too much to complain about. I really like the taco shop because it's not too pricey, it's simple (so good for children), and as it says in the name, it's tasty!
