El Cascabel offers a fantastic dining experience with great decor and pleasant staff. The Birria Tacos, Birria Quesadilla, and Hibiscus Aquas are standout dishes. The food is delicious and reasonably priced, with excellent Margaritas and fresh chips and salsa. El Cascabel is the best Mexican food in Grinnell. Inside the old train station, historical and cozy, the food is not complicated but delicious, with rich guac, savory shrimp and homemade salsa. The service is exceptional, fast and professional. The portions are large and the prices are very reasonable, an outstanding value. The restaurant is big with a lot of space and is wheelchair accessible.
