“I used to live in Mason city and now live 2.5hours away, but every time I go to Mason city I have to go to taco tico. Great food, great service, always busy, and responsible prices. I have been to lots of restaurants in my life and alot of restaurants have messed up my order, I have been to taco tico in Mason city plenty of times and they have never messed up on my order.“

“We were driving through from Waterloo to Minneapolis, stopped in Mason City to visit family and looked at Google maps for restaurants. Happy Donkey came up. Only one other table with customers. We were skeptical. Service was friendly, establishment was clean, food was delicious (donkey enchilada was my choice and couldn't have been happier)!! Worth stopping!! 5/5!!!“

“Great little spot. Almost has a Key West vibe with Iowa prices and hospitality. It's not a quick fast food place. Be ready for a hang. Plan on being here 60mins or more. Food may take a bit as the kitchen is 6 square feet but not only is it worth the wait, you'll pleasantly find yourself wanting to spend more time here. You won't want to leave. Would recommend.“

Actually when I was younger used to come here two or three times a week. Loved the churro and potato bites

But even now I’m always pretty pleasantly surprised with how good this all is; espically if you compare them to their competition in town.

“Hello Mason city, I'd like to point out that my past visit to Pancheros did not go so well. I went there with my mother at around 2:15-2:30 pm, and we were greated with the nicest workers, and all was going good until the manager came out. We had seen her previously overviewing a new employee. And he was a nice guy talkative and just had a good vibe. He made a mistake on an order prior to us, and she called him to the back to "talk to him" and believe or not her voice was heard by others cussing and giving her employee a hard time for a simple mistake. Later on my mother and I were waiting for the steak to get cooked, and the manager comes up and starts telling us what we want. And we told her no we're waiting for the steak politely, and she gave us both a dirty look. So I'm not saying the customer service was bad, but the management needs a good look at on who they put in charge.“
