“We were driving through from Waterloo to Minneapolis, stopped in Mason City to visit family and looked at Google maps for restaurants. Happy Donkey came up. Only one other table with customers. We were skeptical. Service was friendly, establishment was clean, food was delicious (donkey enchilada was my choice and couldn't have been happier)!! Worth stopping!! 5/5!!!“

“Been going here for 50 years. If your looking for a Mexican place and have time, it's great. A little hole in the wall place. Plan on a couple of hours. The chips and cheese sauce I'd a must to start and I follow up with cheese and onion enchilada and a chicken taco.“

“I used to live in Mason city and now live 2.5hours away, but every time I go to Mason city I have to go to taco tico. Great food, great service, always busy, and responsible prices. I have been to lots of restaurants in my life and alot of restaurants have messed up my order, I have been to taco tico in Mason city plenty of times and they have never messed up on my order.“
