“Since we are from Arizona, we are always on the hunt for great Mexican food and we found it here in Perry! El Sabor is exactly the type of Mexican food we look for. Simple, authentic, and delicious.Bring cash because they don’t accept credit cards but their prices are on point. For us, we bought Carne Asada tacos for two dollars apiece and they were exceptional! Carne asada, onions, and cilantro is all you need. I found their green salsa slightly more mild than we are used to but their red salsa more tangy and flavorful than we expected.Going back for their burrito today! ?“
“This place really deserves 5 stars! We came here at a time when a few other places to eat in town are closed (the late lunch/early dinner timeframe), on the recommendation of someone we met at the Carnegie library museum.We ordered a birria, barbacoa, and carnitas taco, an asada burrito, and a bowl of posole. All were excellent! Wish they served breakfast burritos too but might not be a big enough breakfast crowd to justify opening early :) I can just imagine they’d be great though.“
“One of my favorite restaurants, also my granddaughter's favorite. The staff are always super friendly and helpful. Food is always delicious and fresh. Good portion sizes, I've never left there hungry. I love that as soon as you sit down they bring you salsa and queso with chips. And the steak fajitas are my favorite. If you've never been there I would highly recommend checking it out“
“This is not a super-fancy dining establishment, but there is one key area where this restaurant really shines. The food is awesome. If you have never had Pupusas then get in your vehicle and head over right now. Furthermore, the Quarter Chicken (un quarto de pollo) is perfectly seasoned and always done perfectly. Definitely good value as well.“
“I just loved the soft shell chicken tacos. This was a great place to stop and take a break from riding the Raccoon River Valley trail with my brother and my friend from Wisconsin. The big glasses of lemonade hit the spot too. All was good here.“
