“Had a great time. Hamburger was above and beyond, real French fries ?. Tori did an outstanding job of serving us, my first time there. Nacho burger was excellent. Definitely a great place for a quick bite to eat if you aren't into corporate fast food, this is an ideal spot to stop and have lunch. Prices are reasonable.... $20 per guest, approx. Flor does a great job of making everyone feel ? welcome.“

When I encountered Confluence's Des Moines IPA - Double Dry Hopped, it instantly became my number one. What a perfect balance of subtle but not overwhelming sweetness with a crisp wet hoppiness that doesn't overwhelm. Getting this balance right is insanely tough.Got to tour Confluence and was even more of a fan. What a fantastic operation, with a passion for innovation. They may be Iowa's best microbrewery but I'm telling my boys at Sierra Nevada, you've got one hell of a competitor nipping at your heels!Confluence is a beer you can be proud of drinking, for its taste, its innovation, and its commitment to its communities.“

“I love Daisy Chain in DSM! The Miel and the Pistachio latte are wonderful. The coffee is one of my favorites in the US. Very kind staff with quick intentional chats and the line is fast paced if there is one. The wax mini sculptures are very fun and unique. A must go to when in DSM! It's located in a great area to walk with friends aswell and stop in local shops.“

“We just catered Cinnaholic for our wedding in August and LOVED them. We had the mini cinnamon rolls & cookie dough for our desserts. Shane sat down with us to go over our options and have a taste testing as well. The options were endless and the set up crew did amazing as well. Would highly recommend Cinnaholic for desserts for any event you may have in the future.“

“I hosted my husband's 50th birthday party at the Station, and their back room was having the Nightmare on Ingersol, so they had some tables reserved for us. We ended up with more than the tables would hold, and they did an amazing job of getting to people quickly, and made the night great, from the 8 year old, to the birthday boy with some people getting food, and getting drinks to everyone. “I highly recommend Black Cat Ice Cream! They have a lot of unique homemade ice cream flavors that are creative and seasonably appropriate. It’s a fun experience with the ice cream options and the atmosphere in the shop and outdoor seating options. I’ve tried their scoops of ice cream, and the ice cream nuggets dipped in fudge. It doesn’t matter what I get, so far I’ve been happy with my selections each time. If you love ice cream and are looking for something fun and unique, this is the place for you!“

“The east side of the river really isn’t dirty anymore. It’s been gentrified with your typical cookie cutter businesses and people. I enjoyed my Saturday afternoon visit. The prices are typical with the area. The bartender was on point and it wasn’t to sticky. For me the ambience wasn’t what I expected. Numerous bachelorette parties and those people that ride that drinking wagon thing came and went. A privileged frat boy sorority girl feel but maybe it was just the day. Without the patio I don’t think I’d bother with the place and I wonder what happens in the winter 3/4s of their seating disappears. I’ll swing in again to enjoy a nice patio evening but maybe on a weekday instead.“

“Picture this; in the area for Ragbrai and a bit off-trail. Caught loitering in-front of the brewery around 11:32 on a Wednesday and the door opened to inquire if I needed water or anything (as it was a scorching day).Small conversation later and I was invited in during off-hours to sample brews while everyone inside went about prepping for the day and tomorrow morning's Ragbrai send-off festivities.The hospitality was insane! The brews were amazing! The company was fantastic! 'Iowa Nice' is an understatement.Brightside Aleworks has a fantastic location and amazing brews, definitely give them a try if you are in the area.“

“I’ve had this place on my list for a while and I was very pleased after finally going. It had many small nooks to sit in besides conventional seating. Which is great if you want a little more privacy or you were reading a book. I was also very surprised at how good the food was as it is a bakery I didn’t expect their meal options to be as good as they were. Overall great choice for a lower cost lunch spot.“

Plenty of parking, we were able to bring our own food in, and decorate the space nicely.The bartenders were knowledgeable and gave good suggestions for what was on tap. But the true stars of the show were the food and drinks. Their beers and cocktails were fantastic, offering a wide variety to satisfy all palates. We also indulged in their food menu, and everything was delicious. The chicken sandwich was juicy and flavorful, while the ahi ahi fish and chips were a true standout. The crispy breading was perfection, and the truffle fries were an addictive side.
