“I don't usually write reviews, especially over a chain like Subway. I've been to many and they are all usually the same. This Subway surprised me. The staff is very warm and engaging. They had a regular who they had a great relationship with. The one young man who spoke to me asked about my weekend and was curious about me. Very impressed!“

“Honesty, great food for the most part. Atmosphere inside was really nice. I’ve done pick up as well and that is fairly smooth too. Only complaints are they give you an optional tipping screen when paying, when they don’t really offer any courtesy acts once they’ve given you your food both for dining in and for pick up. Also they jack up the price on tea, lemonades and certain sides, and I have to say the fruit cup is not worth the price jump. But their sandwiches are great, service is fast, and overall not bad if you just get a water and chips for your drink and side.“

“I had the absolute pleasure of being helped by Tim at the Subway in Ankeny today. He was working all by himself and still managed to serve everyone with such grace and ease even though his help arrived pretty late. Despite the rush, Tim kept a positive attitude, made great conversation, and was genuinely one of the kindest people I’ve come across in customer service.

I sat down and ate while watching him work, and he never once seemed stressed or overwhelmed. He was polite, efficient, and kept everything running smoothly without missing a beat. It’s clear he takes pride in his work and he’s just the kindest person. Tim truly went above and beyond, and he absolutely deserves a raise and some serious recognition!

“I came in after the lunch hour to a clean dining room. The young lady that helped me, greeted me promptly. She was was very friendly and efficient and I felt welcomed, even though I came in between meal periods.

The meat and veggies on my sandwich were well prepared and were very fresh.

“Newer, nice and clean store across from Ankeny Centennial high school. Stopped in to feed everyone after a choir concert. No problems along with good sandwiches makes for a pleasant experience. Would say it's worth a shot for a quick and good meal .“

Once they got me going I always get the number one and ask for mayo but they always douse my sandwich in mayo this crew even took the time to spread out my guacamole. “I stopped into the Quiznos in Urbandale and was pleasantly surprised by how smooth and enjoyable the whole visit was. The moment I walked in, the place felt welcoming — bright, clean, and comfortable without being crowded or noisy. It had that “well taken care of” vibe that instantly puts you at ease.
The staff really stood out. Everyone I interacted with was friendly, upbeat, and impressively quick without making the experience feel rushed. You can tell they take pride in what they do, and it makes a difference. It’s refreshing to see a team that works efficiently while still being warm and attentive.
And of course, the food was the highlight. I ordered a steak sub, and it was absolutely delicious — hot, flavorful, and made exactly the way I wanted. Everything tasted fresh and well‑prepared. Overall, this location delivered a great experience from start to finish, and I’ll definitely be coming back the next time I’m in the area.“

“Great Subway location!! It has charging stations, the facility is clean. The employee's are friendly. The reason for not a 5 star is upon request for a plastic knife to cut up my tomatoes I was informed they had none. Then I requested a knife so I could do it myself they said they couldn't let me use a knife (which I totally understand) then I asked if they could just cut it for me. I had not opened the salad or anything yet. I was told they don't do chopped salads anymore. Ok cool lol. So moral of the story if you want your tomatoes cut up on your salad ask while they are preparing your food. I would like to re-itterate no employee was rude or disrespectful. Very pleasant staff!“

“We come to this Subway often because they actually know how to make a veggie sandwich. At a lot of other locations, if you don't get meat, they barely put any toppings on it and you end up with a flat sandwich. This location is different—they actually make a filling veggie sub, which is hard to find!
It’s great to find a spot that doesn't skimp on the ingredients. Also, this is one of the only Subways around that consistently accepts the good coupons, so the value is excellent. If you want a sandwich that’s actually worth the price, this is the best location to hit.“
