“My family and I wanted to try somewhere new in Sioux City and decided to check out La Fogata. So glad we did everything was delicious! Not sure how we hadn’t tried it sooner. The asada tacos were amazing, especially with the handmade tortillas. We’ll definitely be back! Our server not sure of her name was amazing as well. Super sweet“

“I love Monterrey. Very affordable. I love how they have two locations on two sides of Sioux City, it’s very easy to access. I get the Beef Classic fajitas. Never can go wrong with their cheese dip! Tastes perfect with their chips and I even put some over my fajitas too! Very fast as well!“
“This is a buffet style restaurant. They have different meat options with lots of sauce on them and they have fried chimichangas which are delicious. The chicken mole had a GREAT flavor HOWEVER it's full of bones! Not a safe thing to put in your mouth. I took a bite into a piece of chicken and there were about 10 tiny bones which tells me it was very likely a chicken neck.“

And Emma is the best server you will find anywhere. 3 meat fajitas is unreal. Chimichanga plate is my favorite. Only place I'll eat or at anymore.“

I got there close to closing, and had never been in store before, I didn't feel rushed and she answered all my questions, and made me feel like I was making good choices for my late night supper! she had a smile on her face and a fun perky personality! I really appreciated her and her helpfulness!“

“I had such a fantastic time here recently and everything about the experience was top notch. The food was bursting with flavor and clearly made with fresh ingredients, and the staff made me feel right at home from the moment I walked through the door. It is honestly such a fun and welcoming atmosphere that I ended up staying much longer than I originally planned. I cannot wait to go back and try more things on their menu.“

“I don't leave reviews... but here we are. I'm From San Francisco, grew up in the mission and love food. I'd stack up these tacos to anything I've had back home, San Diego or Mexico. Great meats, their pastor is my favorite. Whenever I visit my in laws this is my new spot. I've been coming to Sioux City for 15 years now and this is by dar the best Mexican I've had here.“

“Walking in it looks like a normal Mexican bread market. They have a few tables and local help.
The food is amazing though. It doesn't look like it would be but seriously. Try it! On Saturdays and Sunday mornings they have home made tortillas! In the mornings.“

“The service was great, our waitress was polite and attentive. The food was good but the camarones empanizados were a bit greasy as well as the fries. The ceviche tostada was very tasty as well as the carne asada. They gave me churros and ice cream since it was my birthday!“

“We go to La Isla every year for our Anniversary and a few other times as well. They are always wonderful - service is great. The food is crazy good, and the portion sizes are large. My husband and I will share, and we still take food home. Love the pineapple pasta. We try different things each time and have always been happy with experimenting“

“I ordered online for delivery. Unfortunately, they pair with Door Dash. My food arrived 1 hour late, cold. The driver called me "Bro". I'm a grown woman. Your food is good, but not when it's cold. You need to have a pointed conversation with Door Dash about their drivers and the customer service they provide....or should I say, the customer service they DON'T provide.“

“Love the food but the burritos are getting smaller every time. There seems to be too much tortilla and not enough ingredients. I hope they can get back to selling them like they did when they first opened in cb.“

“The guy in drive every morning when I show up between 6:30am and 8am is always cheerful and positive even on cold and windy days makes me feel like the customer matters and that they appreciate the customers so I hope that this location keeps up the good work you have a awesome crew“

“Went through the drive-thru for lunch and my first sign the food was going to be good was that the bag was folded really nice. Every other experience I've had with a Taco Johns they just wrap the food halfway, throw the stuff in the bag, then smash the bag as they hand it to you. It's fast food so I'm always just like, whatever, I never complain. This location raises the bar because what do you mean my taco wasn't loose in the bag and my food was still intact? Yay! Food was good. I hope the workers are getting compensated well because they are doing a great job!“
