Firehouse Subs Lakeport Commons offers tasty food in a clean and friendly environment. Customers are greeted with smiles by staff who try to make everyone feel comfortable, sometimes cracking jokes to make them laugh. The restaurant is known for serving yummy subs in Sioux City. While some customers have experienced issues with portion sizes, especially with the brisket sandwich, the staff has worked to fix these problems, and recent visits have been better in that regard. Many people consider it the best place for a sandwich in town, with friendly staff and a good overall experience. The new management, including a helpful GM, seems to be improving the restaurant. Though service can sometimes be slow, the restaurant still remains a popular spot. There are plenty of parking spaces, and kids enjoy free firefighter hats, making it a kid-friendly place. However, vegetarians and vegans might find limited options, and the restaurant currently does not cater well to dietary restrictions.
