“Terrible experience, very disappointed with our visit today. We talked about going there all weekend because we enjoy the 86. Drove over an hour to get there by four today because they were closing early. The girl at the front was very sweet. We were very excited to be there and told her it was our first time there. She said we could sit down and order or go to the bar. We sat down and several servers looked at us, but no one waited on us. We went to the bar and said we had never been there before. A guy said there is a menu on the counter but I'll be over there cleaning, let me know what you want and walked away. We had no idea what we were doing since it was our first time there. I wanted to try wines and my husband whiskey, but not if no one wanted to wait on us. So, we looked at each other and decided to leave. Once in the parking lot I realized it was a long way home and I should use the restroom first. So, I went back in, and I told the girl behind the counter we were leaving because no one waited on us, but I needed to use the restroom first. When I came out of the restroom she said to enjoy the rest of our day. Would have had a better day if we could have tried something... Went from very excited to be there to can't wait to leave...“

“I am a celiac and was pleasantly surprised that they have a whole gluten-free menu with lots of options! One of the servers said that she is a celiac, too. That was cool.
The only thing that made me nervous was the wooden cutting boards they served my gluten free food on. Not sure how they clean them, or if they keep them separate from gluten serving boards, but I know we should mistrust all wooden utensils due to their absorbency. These had obvious cut marks on them and everything.
Happily though, I didn't feel and signs of being glutened. With major gluten ingestions I definitely feel symptoms, and I had none to report here. Hopefully that bodes well.

Dietary restrictions: Celiacs may want to be wary but I think that, pending confirmation about their serving boards, this should be safe. I did not experience symptoms of having gotten glutened, at least. The food was delicious.“

“I had my second visit today for lunch and I was pleasantly impressed even over my high expectations from my first visit. this will be a main stop any time I am in town. I forgot the bartenders name but he was working at 230 pm on Feb 24th. absolutely fantastic service“

Also, it was finally comfy enough to sit outside for supper this evening!

Butternut Squash Ravioli -- MUST HAVE! I tried it on my first visit to Iowa City in 2019 and was hooked. Went back for the first time since, ordered it again, and they knocked it out of the park! It is so good, so creamy and nutty, with just the right amount of mushroom ratio!“

“We have now eaten here twice, and we had a great experience both times. Our son is attending the nearby university, and this will be our go-to Mexican restaurant until he graduates. Everything we have eaten here is something we would order again, service is pretty good, and the place is clean and authentic. The guacamole flight is something you won't find anywhere else, and is highly recommended if you enjoy guac. The queso dip with chorizo is seriously the best we've ever had, and we order it EVERY time we eat at a Mexican restaurant. They have a large variety of draft beers, available in 2 sizes. The chips & salsa are fresh. It's far enough from campus that it's usually not very crowded. The menu is HUGE, so there's always something new to try. My son enjoyed his first flautas and my wife enjoyed her first gorditas outside of Taco Bell. I had the camarones chipotle for the first time because of previous reviews, and I was not disappointed. “SO happy to see that Saigon’s Corner is now on Chomp! (Maybe this isn’t new, but I don’t remember seeing them there before). We got a ton of food for a very reasonable price, it was very well packaged (pho broth separate from noodles, veg, protein, etc), arrived in a very reasonable time (even on a Saturday night) and it was all fresh and really delicious. We easily have enough for lunch for both of us tomorrow as well. We will definitely be ordering again, and can’t wait!!“

“Ate here for the first time before attending an Iowa basketball game nearby. There were good choices on the menu. I had the spicey Italian meatball grinder with fries. It was good and very filling. Prices seemed reasonable. The place was noisy so it was hard to socialize with my friends. Otherwise, a good place to eat and would go there again if in town.“

“Every time we come here everything is on point. Service from the hostess to the waitress is fantastic. And the food omg the food is always delicious, hot and fresh. About 3 months ago had their Monte Cristo which so damn good. Their onion rings are huge and very tasty.
Their chicken sandwich is one of the best of I have ever had. Their breading on their chicken breast was absolutely amazing and flavorful. Pickles were very good and the mayo had some nice flavor to it as well. It's a must got to every time we are in Coralville. So go if you have a chance“
