“Had a blast here & ran into someone my friend knew his name is "priest" the vibe was incredible & the music was great.We all had an incredible time! I streamed on Instagram to my followers to spread awareness of this place because it was really fun.My husband realized my cash app card fell out of his pocket and we hurried back to the club around 2:11 am. I received a notification that I was charged $100 from the club at 2:07 am and we didn't order anything that much and every drink we ordered I signed and tipped on a paper receipt.He came in the club highly upset because of the time of the charge he felt it was the establishment. I encouraged him to lower his voice because we are unsure who made the charge. In the end the owner or manager gave us the refund of $100 because they knew it wasn't us.Whoever found my card and used it is incredibly stupid. A $100 charge on a cash app card is very noticeable and this app sends you notifications of the time the charge happens. I'm not sure what happened but I'm glad the owner is honest and fair.I streamed the whole night that I was there reaching 1 million views. So I'm happy that he gave us my money back!“

“You want a dive bar that is also clean? This is it. Damn friendly staff and patrons. I go there periodically for a beer. They had a birthday party for a regular. Tons of food. I knew no one but several people came up to me and told me to partake in the goods.“

“Young waiter took our orders and then brought out our food. There was one entree missing and we thought he was just going back there to get it. After about 10 to 15 minutes we stopped another server and asked about our food and they told us that they were out of that particular menu item. All they did was ask us if we wanted to order something else and apologize. Other than that the food was good.“

Beerhouse was recommended by hotel desk clerk. We went back after our first night's experience. The (younger) staff behind the bar was excellent; personable, knowledgable, hard-working and a benefit to this establishment. Made great suggestions for food“

You walk in its nice and open on the right to have conversations you can hear and pool tables on the right. It now has a jukebox (it's what I still call it) and no longer a stage. You can tell that business is not as busy since the changes, hopefully it picks back up for whoever the brave bar owner is. The bar staff ,she was happy,honest and just plain people's, with drinks with perfect mixtures, that make you feel relaxed and at home.“

Unlike other places, you won’t get weird looks for being new here. 4 Pool tables, 2 dart boards, 3 slot machines with Ridgemont tickets (each worth a dollar at the bar). It’s a good sized place so you can find your own area or chat with a new friend. I’m an honest guy, worst thing about this place is the urbandale and Windsor heights cops linger because they smell a good time. Just get a ride if you have too much fun.“

“Sure, it's a strip mall bar that's pretty much a dive, but I love it. Staff is surprisingly attentive and polite for how busy it can get and I've never had much of an issue with the clientele. Love coming hear to watch Hawkeye, Cyclone or Cubs games. Insanely low prices also. One of my favorite bars in the city.“

“One of my favorite bars in Ankeny! We went there last week and got the cheese curds and buffalo wings...and shocking, they might have been the best wings I have ever had! There was live music which was also awesome. Quick service, kind staff. My husband & I had the best date night there (sat at the bar).“

“Came for brunch on a Saturday right at open (9am), there were 2 other tables and plenty of parking available. Staff was friendly and gave food recommendations. I was pleased to see that the in restaurant brunch menu was more extensive than the online menu. Our table got the steak and mushroom hash, Southwest omelette and a side pancake. We were told the jam options for toast were all made in house which was a nice surprise we got blackberry and mango jams and both were good but a little runny.
Over all the food was good but lacking in flavor for me. The omelette was well cooked but I don't think it had any seasoning just the cooked veg and almost no cheese. The breakfast potatoes were just barely cooked through, heavily oiled and not crisp. The steak and hash's steak was prepared perfectly but had a mushroom sauce/gravy that was good but overwhelmed the plate.“

“I invited my wife and kids to go out to eat, which we all know in this economy is a luxury. Our choices for the night were between Buffalo Wild Wings and Applebees (I wanted to watch the hockey game). Originally we decided BWW. We got sat by the hostess and sat at the table (without menus) for 5-10 minutes before we left, because we had yet to be greeted. We then decided to head to our second option a few blocks up the street. We were greeted immediately by a kind host who sat us quickly with menus (even a highlights kids menu for our 4yo, which was nostalgic for us). Shortly after Ty came over and asked us what we would like to drink, listing off a few of their options. He was quick to retrieve said drinks, and as service went on everything was delivered hot and in a timely manner. The manager helped out where she could, delivering food and drinks is when Ty was behind. He even got us on a few sweets at then as well. After being a restaurant manager for 6 years this is exactly why I enjoy going out to eat. Although Applebees isn’t a 5 start steakhouse, I will definitely be coming back for the service alone and of course some of the notorious classics that we ate tonight. Thank you Ty for giving the service everyone deserves at every restaurant.“
