“I went here for the first time because I was given a coupon from my realtor (Brett Fine - best realtor ever) and little did I know it would quickly become my favorite local restaurant. I’ve tried several items from pickle fries to the gyro, Tito’s flatbread, Alfredo, etc and everything had tasted wonderful and always comes out hot. The service is always top tier - friendly, efficient. Can’t say enough good things about Tito’s.“

They called to tell us that before we even had a chance to believe there was a problem, and fully communicated what the issue was. “This is now the craphole of bar & grille places in central Iowa. While we had a good server, Sam, the rest of the experience was well below expectations. The worst wings I've ever had. Fried nuggets with sauce just poured over. What used to be really good boneless wings are now awful. Two tables there the whole night. Heard they're charging for lemon/lime slices for drinks. Needless to say will not be back under current ownership. Shame on you.“

“I DO NOT RECOMMEND!! It appears they have their do no recommend set so that your post cannot publish. Called this morning to let the staff know we were going with a group of 12 and they said that would not be a problem. In an hour our group received water and a drink order placed but never got it. The same server continued to wait on other tables, make drinks for other tables and made no effort or hurry to make ours or come back to take our order. In addition, the bartender continued to walk around and socialize rather than makes drinks. We even wrote down our whole order and patiently waited for her to come back to make it easy for her. This is the second that we have attempted to come to your establishment with the same results.“

“It definitely has changed from when I have been there years ago, but it's definitely for the better. Whe. You walk in its nice and open on the right to have conversations you can hear and pool tables on the right. It now has a jukebox (it's what I still call it) and no longer a stage. You can tell that business is not as busy since the changes, hopefully it picks back up for whoever the brave bar owner is. The bar staff ,she was happy,honest and just plain people's, with drinks with perfect mixtures, that make you feel relaxed and at home.“

“I’m glad I waited to post a review because I would have originally gave this place 1 or 2 stars based off of one very irritating circumstance that happened when dining last night. But, I then started thinking about all the really good things in comparison and didn’t think that would be truly deserving.

Nonetheless- it’s extremely disappointing to spend $11 on an appetizer— and not have any time to actually eat it or enjoy it. What was most bothersome is that I even asked the gal taking our order if it would come ahead of the main meals — and she assured me it would. Well she wasn’t wrong, but it was literally 2 minutes after getting the appetizer, here came the main course. Uggh! Really?

At that point you’re forced to decide which one you’re gona let get cold, not enjoy, and waste money on.

This was really my only criticism. But it was soooo very frustrating that it almost earned them a 1-star review. Everything else was great. Burgers were on point, sides were delicious, service was great.

Get the timing of food delivery down (especially when asked) and things would have been purely great.“

“My wife and I went there Saturday evening for dinner, drinks, and a football game. Our waitress was outstanding! Can't remember her name but she is a 4th grade teacher.
Drinks were wonderful and lots of draft beer to choose from. We ordered a pizza and it was very good. Good enough that we are coming back Friday night to try taco pizza.

“Love the bar, free pool on Sundays, weekly specials, and friendly bartender. The reason I give it a 4 out of 5 is because the dj sucks. He takes a lot of smoke break, his mic smells like stale cigarettes, he sings the longest songs taking away time from the customers that are there to sing, and his equipment needs better sound quality. It drowns out the singer. So other than needing a new dj I say it’s a great place to visit!“

“We frequent here a lot because of the diverse menu which has something to please everyone and the food is almost always perfect. However, we have come to understand that this location is lacking a permanent manager and it shows. This trip, the greeter was rather short when seating is and I noticed he had the same demeanor when waiting on tables (we had a different server whom was good). Food was good but the bathroom needed a little attention as the trash was overflowing. The previous time we ate here the server was running her but off trying to take care of everything and doing a great job. She was the one who informed us of the management situation and she apologized. I hope they can resolve the issue to bring some order to the restaurant.“

After stopping in Bench Warmers several times and not getting waited on because the waitresses tend to pay more attention to bar patrons, we decided to give Bench Warmers one more try! We were pleasantly greeted immediately by Lisa that took our drink order and gave us time to check out the menu and visit while we were enjoying our drinks. The service was fantastic and always with a smile. We will stop in again in the near future! I think one other waitress finally greeted us as we were walking out the door!“

“Sure, it's a strip mall bar that's pretty much a dive, but I love it. Staff is surprisingly attentive and polite for how busy it can get and I've never had much of an issue with the clientele. Love coming hear to watch Hawkeye, Cyclone or Cubs games. Insanely low prices also. One of my favorite bars in the city.“
