10 Best Sandwich Shops in Waterloo

“Just moved here a d was looking for a good sub place. Always leary about chains.
I was extremely suprised by Sub City.
The menu was simple and prices looked fair before I chose to try this place.
Entering it was a simple straight forward kind of place. Nothing out of thr ordinary and nothing special looking. But it smelled great and was immediately greated by the staff. The staff were very quick and efficient as far as taking and making my order.
The sub was beyond anything I expected. It was huge! Truly generous serving of meats and toppings. The bread was soft, delicious and I truly needed 2 hands to hold it to eat. (Im a big guy. I can easily hold most subs with one hand). Most places a full sub plus some sides might fill me up when I'm only partly hungry. I was only partly hungry coming here and 1/2 sub filled me up. And left me dinner or snack for later.

I highly recommend this place if you want a good sub! My friend tried the lobster bisque with her sub. She said it was the best she ever had. And a large soda is truly a large soda. Not the rip off large these fast food places claim are large now a days.
Can hardly wait to go back and try some of the other subs!“

“My husband and I got lunch to-go today and I really appreciate that they put all of our food in a bag, with spoons and chips for our soup and napkins without us having to ask. They really very fast and welcoming. Sometimes, it’s the little things that go a long ways.“

“I went thru the drive thru today and just wanted to pass along a compliment. I was helped at the window ( I think he also took my order) by a gentleman who seemed to be learning the ropes. In a world that has lately produced some not so pleasant people, this guy was great. Very pleasant,personable and just seemed to be a happy guy. “The Staff and Manager at the Laporte Rd location are always friendly and helpful. I've noticed there air conditioning hasn't been working my last few visits. The owner really needs to have more compassion for his or her employees and have this fixed immediately. It's hotter in the store then it is outside.“

“Tue sandwich expert went oit of his way to make the sandwich I desired. I'm not sure if the guy who cashed mw out was the manager on duty however together, they made this a great experience for me. Especially since I grew up on the east side of Waterloo and generally don't eat over here due to poor service and awful food. Kudos gentleman.?“
