“We had a really good experience here. Placed an order online for some sandwiches, chili, and a couple of brownies. The store manager called right away and explained that their chili machine was temporarily broken and asked if she could substitute the chili for something else. The Mgr. substituted for mac 'n cheese, so all fine there. Subs were fresh. Super quick pick up. I appreciate the above and beyond customer service.“
“Probably the best sandwich I've had from a Jimmy John's came from this location tonight. My sandwich was loaded with toppings and very fresh. Friendly group of college guys working. Got in and out quickly. Restaurant itself appeared to be clean if you want to dine in. Parking lot only has one way in and out, so be cautious.“
“Met a friend here for lunch. Gave our order, got our drinks and enjoyed catching up. Wasn't too long til our name was called. Our salads were fresh, we asked for chopped and they did a great job. I added chicken to my Iowa Cobb, they were as described on the menu board. Canned soda was ice cold and we asked for cups of ice, had a great experience!“

No need to get out of my car. Shane is the Jesus of subway and deserves a raise. My tummy was full and my prayers were answered. I will forever worship Shane from subway.“

I cook and work in kitchens so after a day of crazy and never ending repetitiveness,I drink a beer order some Jimmy John's and have never been disappointed by this store or its delivery drivers. “I was quite surprised to see that they now prepare the "meat" part of your sub out of view of the customer. That being said, the two guys working were doing a great job trying to keep up. There were easily a dozen people in there,which is busier than I've seen it since before the pandemic. The veggies looked nice and fresh, and I think the amount of meat on my(formerly spicy italian) footlong approached the double meat we ordered. But what surprised me most of all was the $6 footlong we used to buy 2 for about $12 plus tax now, (including 15% tip) came to $28.99! And as an FYI we, we got coupons from Subway in the mail, which is why we went in, and were told, "corporate sends those out, and we don't accept them". Is that legal.. or ethical? Maybe the sign on the store should be changed to...?Parking: It sits on Avery busy corner where it's somewhat difficult to get in and out,as the lot is very small and a car cannot get in if another is leaving.“
“Had a small Garden Party and a large ham. Both were pretty good. Slightly better than Subway with better bread and fillings. Bread sizes are similar to Subway, so more generous than Jimmy John's etc. Avocado is pre-mashed, not much texture to it.Dining area and restrooms were clean. Staff ok. Value is good, $5 Wednesday is the best deal by far.“
“Sandwiches were great, but that’s not the important part. We have a family member in ICU at UIH. After the Hawkeye game, while traffic was a total disaster, an amazing superhero from this store delivered our subs by bike. Oh, did i mention in under an hour! Thank you!“
“This Subway is located along the busy Washington Street in downtown Iowa City. It is surrounded by shopping, bars, restaurants, and the nearby university. This is a Subway that is designed to get people commuting via walking for business. The meters on the road are vey limited and are almost always filled by those parking there to be at a business nearby. As one Subway employee told me, there is a lot of turnover at this Subway location. My first half-dozen plus visits consisted of a different person each time working there. That said, every sandwich artist who has prepared my order here as done a great job. They are friendly and make the sandwich just how I like them. The workers are mostly younger which makes sense because of its proximity to campus. Overall, this is a good Subway. I hope they get employees to stick around long enough to keep it stable.“
“Food is delicious but be prepared for a long wait. This is of no fault of the workers because Nodo is so popular that they can't keep up with the orders. It does make me wonder whether they would benefit from more cooks/cashiers so it doesn't take around half an hour for a sandwich and fries, though. I would still highly recommend! It's worth the wait if you have time.“
