“The Chayo’s and their quesabirrila tacos are always at the top of my list when I was a delicious and quick meal. I stopped by there tonight and didn’t realize I left my wallet until they were so generous enough to come drop it off at my house. Great food and people!“

“I was so surprised when I went there and that they actually had hot sauce that was spicy. It’s so hard to find a place that has really spicy salsa ☺️“

“We ordered food on July 29th via their website. Which we have done many times before. We pull up to get our food and never received it because they claimed they never got the order on their end. Even when showing the person the receipt and showing them the charge on my card. Which. It’s hard to deny because it literally says “Abelardos Mils Civic” for the charge title and receipt. She turns us away stating she can’t make the food because she doesn’t have the order. Which I understood at the time because I understood not wanting to get in trouble for not being able to prove they had an order to fulfill.
So I end up disputing the charge with my bank. Explained everything that happened. Provided the phone number and address of this place to my back.
2 weeks later the bank has denied my refund stating the restaurant claims they have fulfilled their obligations and provided the goods/services.
I contacted my bank to notify them that this is absolutely false. They didn’t. We literally got turned away from this place because they were having system issues and didn’t have our order. My bank stated that they called this location to confirm my story and were told we were given food.
I can’t seem to get anyone on the phone let alone a manager to sort this out.
I guess the moral of the story is never order from their website or have any issues or you’ll be out money.
Edit: updating my rating from 1 star to 4 stars.
A day after leaving this review I received a text from the owner of the restaurant, Brenda. She let me know that I would be receiving a full refund within 2-3 days and offered a gift card to me.
I genuinely appreciate that this got figured out and hopefully won’t be an issue again for anyone else in the future.“

“10/10 will return. I ordered from this location through DoorDash. When I got my order it was wrong. I had called the place to let them know that I ordered 4 bean burritos with no onion add sour cream. But they came as regular. They were very nice over the phone and told me how I could come in either tonight or another day to get replacement burritos. I went in tonight to get them fixed. They were so kind and very quick at fixing the mistake.“

“Back in the early 2000s I worked for Taco John's corporate for a few years. When I moved to an area where they don't have these, I always make a point to stop and eat at one if I am traveling. Back then we were meticulous. I know that they have changed almost all of the top people now, and that this location is a franchise and not owned by the company, but I was disappointed by a couple of very noticable changes. No salsa bar? No super hot sauce, roasted red chipotle, Pico de Gallo, just packets of hot sauce? No olives on the super potato? No bringing my food to my table? As for this location I stopped for lunch off the highway today. I'll say that the potatoes seemed over-seasoned, and the meat and potato burrito had an awful lot of lettuce on it. None of this is too bad. Service was fast and friendly. Bathroom was immaculate. Lady at the register tried to upsell me twice, and when I didn't want a beverage she offered me a free water cup. Doing everything the way we use to. Taco John's has always been more expensive, but you get what you pay for. This one is pretty good, but I wish they had that super hot sauce.“
