“Out of all the Sushi restaurants I've tried around town, Yoi Tomo is hands down the best! What separates them above the others has to be service. I was particularly impressed with my server Lundyn (Hope I'm spelling that right). As someone who has worked in the restaurant industry for years I feel great service is not simply flawless execution, but also how you recover when mistakes do happen. I respected how fast she acted when realizing my roll came out with dairy still on it(I have an allergy), and not only took it back to have it remade, but offered complimentary edamame. Owning mistakes, whether they are the server's or cook's, is not a fun part of the job, but she handled it promptly and professionally.“

“I was so lucky to get to try this place out during my visit to Boise. My uncle who’s lived in Japan is a complete sushi iceberg, and we go nowhere else. I had to have the Godzilla road now I had many other roles and my cousin, to the number of different items the service was incredible!!! The spicy dragon roll was my favorite, but Godzilla you have to try!!! OH NOOOO I SAY YOU HAVE TO GO AND TRY GODZILLA!!“

“Service was great. We immediately got greeted when we stepped in. Got to choose where we wanted to sit. Waitress was nice and quick. Didn't have to wait to place and order. Short wait for food too! The food was ok tho. Restaurant/atmosphere and location is great. Looks nice and clean. Flies were annoying but this season is what it is. Ramen was acceptable but the broth lacked depth. The protein that we ordered with it were also bland. The sushi was ok. I would like to try more different ones tho. Prices were very reasonable for quality and location. Would recommend and return to try other things.“

“Wow, this place really stands out in a kitschy food town like Boise where the most popular restaurants are a chain chicken sandwich place and a burger place with terrible fries. I went here because it was open late. Family run. Service was so nice. They tempura any of their rolls. Never been somewhere that does that. I had three rolls and noodles and they were fresh and delicious. Refills on soda too. I will go here every time my work makes me go to Boise. Great neighborhood restaurant.“

“Coming from Seattle, a $13 bento bowl is unheard of. Brown rice, choice of protein such as salmon or seared ahi and the green sauce with generous veggies is a dream.
The quality of protein is outstanding and I tried the beef, salmon and ahi. I like the simplicity of the offerings and the quality is delicious.
5 stars for service and efficiency and very friendly staff. I’ll be returning with my family. Thank you Zen Bento. Great job.“

“Happy Teriyaki ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ On 1/25/23, I had to work late and stopped at Happy Teriyaki on Federal Way in Boise for take-out. This was my first time visiting this business. I was a bit skeptical because I knew it was a franchise with 10 Idaho locations, but it was on my way back to the office and I always like to try new things.  I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the Happy Noodles with Chicken ($12.95), which is Chicken on a bed of Yakisoba Noodles. Other protein options are beef or pork. I was drawn to this dish because Yakisoba isn’t on many menus in  Idaho. In fact, the first time I ever had it was before it was on any local menus, and I had to make it myself from scratch.  The service was excellenot. My order came out fast. It was steaming hot and I could tell from the heft of the bag that it was generously portioned. It made two meals for me. I like that it had a large portion of chicken. The noodles were deliciously, seasoned and perfectly cooked. This is my kind of “fast food.” My five star review is based solely on this dish because it’s the only one I’ve tried. It was excellent! And it’s the best Yakisoba I’ve had in Boise to date. Highly Recommended!!!“
