“Izumi in Eagle has always been very good and very consistent. The service is top notch, restaurant is clean. The quality of the fish at this location is better than most in the valley. Yoki is a standout sushi chef. We always like to sit at the sushi bar so we can interact with him while he makes our order. Yoki makes this trip and the bill worth it!!“

“This review is for the Garden City location!! I have loved this place for a long time. But unfortunately tonight my Katsu was burnt to a crisp, fried rice was as dry as the Sahara. My kids plate was the same order and not any better. My partner's orange chicken was rubbery, like it had been out for a long time. Her Katsu was burnt as well. We have eaten there so many times but the last 2 times it's been absolutely terrible as well and I feel like it was a waste of money. We made macaroni and cheese because we had to throw it out. Next time, we will have to go to the Meridian location and see if our luck is better, but it's going to be a while before we do.“

“I was so lucky to get to try this place out during my visit to Boise. My uncle who’s lived in Japan is a complete sushi iceberg, and we go nowhere else. I had to have the Godzilla road now I had many other roles and my cousin, to the number of different items the service was incredible!!! The spicy dragon roll was my favorite, but Godzilla you have to try!!! OH NOOOO I SAY YOU HAVE TO GO AND TRY GODZILLA!!“

“We checked this place out for the first time tonight! Wonderful friendly staff, flavorful food, atmosphere was alright, fairly basic for a strip mall feel but clean. The storefront could use a refresh, the posters are south facing and get a lot of sun (fading and peeling). But great place! We tried the Chef burrito and Shrimp Lovers burrito, miso soup (one is definitely enough to share), and the fried cream cheese wontons were delicious! We’ll be back!“

“When the sushi roll arrived at the house I was immediately impressed by its presentation. The roll was perfectly rolled, with each piece of crab and rice in perfect alignment. I couldn't wait to take a bite. As I took my first bite, I was blown away by the explosion of flavors in my mouth. The spiciness of the roll was just right, and it was perfectly complemented by the freshness of the crab. The rice was also perfectly cooked making it the perfect companion to everything else. But what really set this sushi roll apart was the service. The waiter was attentive and friendly, making sure that I had everything I needed throughout my meal. He even made a few recommendations for other dishes that I might enjoy, which I appreciated. The sushi roll has been incredible, and the service has been above and beyond. I can't wait to try more!“

“Tonight was our first time at Izumi and we were celebrating our 25 year anniversary. Brad was our waiter/server and he was so helpful and friendly and Fernando was our cook and he was hilarious and so entertaining. The food was so tasty and there was so much of it! “I grab a chicken bowl from here every day. There were a couple of people waiting today and being impatient. It was only 7 minutes or so on a busy night. The kind gal upfront 'Nicole' was super sweet and respectful in letting everyone know the timing of their order and that other orders were already being processed. The food is yummy and affordable. They definitely get busy here and the food is cooked correctly. Some reviews talk about the veggies being plain but I personally like them steamed plain without seasoning, as I add their delicious custom sauce to it. I will be back every 48 to 72 hours I am sure...“
