“My husband and I went to Glenn's Ferry for his birthday, and new years eve. We spent 2 nights there and ate at Beck's Railhouse for all of our meals. Night one, Prestina cooked probably the best tri- tip steak my husband has ever had, while my chicken strips were hand battered, and delicious. For lunch, the cook Mike made our burgers. Mine was cooked to perfection and the cheese was so melted it was sliding down the burger! Yum! New years day, Alesia served up the most amazing biscuits and gravy! Oh man, so dang good! The portions are very large so come with an appetite! We also spent time in the attached Derail bar where Cheri, Mike and the other bartender (they called her Rosie but I'm not sure that's her actual name) were on top of our needs and made sure we weren't in need of anything. If you ever have a chance to stop in to this establishment, you won't be disappointed. Very friendly, top notch experience. To the staff that took such great care of us, thank you all. For the excellent service, the friendly environment and the full bellies. We will definitely return!Dietary restrictions: We mentioned that my husband has food allergies and they paid close attention. We never found items he couldn't eat on his plate.“

Hanson’s Cafe American • $
103 E 1st Ave, Glenns Ferry

“Want to get away from chain restaurants and try a little home-cooked fare? Try this little hole in the wall. We stopped here for breakfast and weren't disappointed in our breakfast sausage (the patties are a little spicier and better than the links fyi), eggs (scrambled and over medium), hash browns (crispy and perfect), pancakes and French toast (perfection). I think my grandma was in the kitchen cooking that up for us! Coffee strong and hot (good stuff). And for ambience, consider a table by the front door where a couple of American heroes greet you and remind you what a great country we live in!“
