“We had the pizza special and the duck confit. All the parts of the pizza were very good, but the combination was not the best choice. The duck was delicious and had great texture. However, the side was a bit mushier than I had hoped. The atmosphere was excellent and so was the service. Just wished the food was as good.“
“One of our favorite things is to find a " mom & pop" restaurant that cares about the entire experience and then nails the execution. At Cookbook, you are greeted by the owners, who seat you, answer your questions about their restaurant/menu, then take your order, etc. Tonight, this was followed by a great cup of sausage and kale soup, bison ragu with brocholini for me, squash bolognese for my wife, then the seven layer cake which we shared. All of these (except the cake) were piping hot and made with fresh produce and proteins. As for the cake, it was wonderful and the perfect way to end a perfect dining experience. The family atmosphere reminded me of meals I've had in small family run places in Ferringdon(outside London), Milan, Grenoble, Angier, Seville, Toledo, Madrid, and Augsburg, etc... Felt old school European, including the pride of ownership and the simple ingredients prepared well. If you find yourself in Sun Valley area, give this place a go, but might want to make a reservation as Cookbook is pretty small and filled up quickly tonight.Vegetarian options: Couple of options.“
“Excellent food, (love the chopped salad). Good selection of wine by the bottle or the glass. Limited but good selection of cheeses. The patio is a wonderful place to sit, weather permitting. The only problem can be getting your order in. The procedure is to order at the register as you enter and then take a seat. Usually there is only one register active. If there is a line, I don’t go in. Inevitably people have menu questions, in groups it takes a long time for the group to order.“
“A hidden gem with fabulous food and a motto to slow down, relax and enjoy life. They take their time preparing your meal so you can do just that. The Pesole was spot on. Old El Paso tacos were flavorful and filling. The mushroom Reuben was unique and tasty. The waitress was laid back, yet very good at convincing us to experience dessert! It was a delightful find -don't miss out!Wheelchair accessibility: Elevator“
“Super cool spot! Beer, wine, ciders, kombucha. Very clean and modern "in an old building that used to house dynamite for the railroad.... Hence the name" - says the very nice manager! The upstairs is so cool and modern. They allow dogs downstairs. Can't recommend enough! Must go to spot in Ketchum!“
“Friendly service and excellent food/wine...and a welcome addition to the restaurant offering in Ketchum. We enjoyed a nicely presented burrata / prosciutto / arugula salad with our initial glass of wine. Well presented and delicious opener! We followed with a beet and pear salad which was amazing. Our entrees were pastas which were both excellent. Service was responsive and pleasant. We will definitely return for more.“
“Andy was an amazing, attentive server. Beautiful space. We each had the wild caught salmon. Cooked to perfection. The cous cous was the right consistency. I substituted spinach for the green beans. Not bitter. Would definitely go back. You can definitely tell an establishment with high-caliber employees. Well done!“
“My husband and I went here to grab some dinner and great wine. The selection of wines by the glass were second to none in town. The food - sans chef that evening - was fantastic. We had the burrata and arugula salad, Jamaican soup and a mezze board. We were also excited to hear that there are some upcoming wine tasting that we can’t wait to participate in! Looking forward to more wine at the SV Wine Co!“
