“If I could give more stars I would. This is a great off the beaten path kind of place.Nellie greeted us and was our waitress and cook. What a treasure she is......and can she cook!We asked what are you known for.She said, people seem to like the hamburgers best.So I had bacon cheese burger with added grilled onions. On my first bite, I was wondering, why have I never been here before. It was yummy! The burger was a juicey 7 ounces hand form burger with very tasty thick cut bacon. Some how she even did magic with the bun, it was flavorful too.Burger came with a large serving of fried too.And for an added bonus, they have bunny's running wild out back, that you can feed. They also have dart board and pool table.....with a big ol' wood stove that keeps it toast warm on cold winter day.Place was very neat and tidy.I will be back.“

“Walked here from the campground for a late lunch/early dinner (only 5 mins walk away!). Didn't expect much from what appeared to be the only restaraunt around - and with not great Verizon service, I couldn't get on Yelp to confirm or deny). Turns out is is super cute! Decor is adorable, love the wood tables and chairs, fun stuff on the wall to keep you occupied, but also a couple TVs to catch the game, or in this case, Iron Chef.Ordered a huckleberry lemonade and cheeseburger (no onion) with curly fries (the only side/fries left per the service, totally fine with me). Service was pleasant and the food took a normal amount of time. Cheeseburger was great, once i pulled off the onions (oops), the bun was amazing. Tried 2 of the 3 sauces (skipped the "fire" one) and while the house sauce was almost too horseradishy for me, mixed with a little ketchup and fry sauce (I guess, it wasn't actually labeled), it was perfect for me! I'd go back just for the curly fries and bun, I mean burger, alone! Definitely worth the very-short walk from the campground!“

“We arrived at approximately 11:00AM. We were immediately seated and greeted by a young gentleman who brought our drinks. There was one server working and she was awesome too! Our meals were prepared to order. There was a friendly gentleman named Richard who appeared to be a long time patron. He offered our child a piece of Candy. This is a great place if you are not looking for a chain restaurant. The food and service was spectacular.“

“I just arrived into town and didn't want to cook. It was very hot out. Stopped here for some chicken tenders and fries and an order of mozzarella sticks to go. Walked to the grocery store behind the restaurant to do some quick shopping while I waited for my food. All was good.“

“Hilltop is a lot like some comfy old jeans. You don't need them to look too flashy, small holes and no obvious stains will be just fine. That's Hilltop, seats were worn and comfy. You could probably puff a few drags on a cigarette without anyone protesting. Waitress came right up and was friendly but not intrusive and drinks were delivered promptly like they gave a rip about service. I had the chicken fried steak and I loved every bite. Pulled off the highway for something hopefully homemade-ish and I was so happy. I'll definitely be back. Thanks Hilltop!“
