“We have been coming here for 3 years and have had both outstanding food and outstanding service from the amazing people working there! We have always been made to feel welcome, which is saying something since every time we’ve been there we have had a toddler with us. I truly can’t say enough good about this wonderful restaurant!“

“During an overnight stay in town, we came in on a cold night for a drink. We were blown away by how beautiful the place is - high end, modern, luxury! Friendly bartender and really reasonably priced cocktails. We love it and will sure come back if we come through town again.“

Sprag Pole Restaurant & Inn American • $
6343 Prichard Creek Rd, Wallace

“Rave: The Spragpole Bar and Museum in Murray, Idaho was outstanding today!!! Wife had the Patty Melt and I had the Almquist Burger. Hands down the best flavored burger I have ever eaten, and wife said the patty melt is her new favorite sandwich! If you’ve not been, it’s only about 20 minutes from Kingston and 20 minutes from Wallace. You won’t regret it… The new owners, Eric and Kippie are so personable, sharing stories of the area which is rich in mining history. Even told us where the house was just 3 miles down the road where Wyatt Earp and his brother lived before being run out of town. I love that they’re a husband and wife soul proprietorship that are working so hard to make their customers happy, and ensuring that people have a great experience at their place! If you haven’t been, it’s a beautiful scenic drive, no matter how you drive to Murray, and it will leave a great taste in your mouth!“

“We stayed the weekend at the Brooks just to get out of town. Check in was a breeze even though it was late. I’ve seen some negative reviews but honestly, what I see here is a hard working family, preserving a family legacy with a lot of blood, sweat , tears and hard work. They are fixing this place up, one room at a time. The restaurant was so good and the employees are super friendly and happy. I always look for places like this when I’m going somewhere. It’s much more of an adventure than a chain hotel. This Mother-daughter team are working long, hard hours to refurbish this old building but still preserving the historic Beauty of it. I’ll go back here regularly.“

“Food was amazing and staff were friendly. Tho the waitresses was very forgetful let me explain. My buddy ordered a beer, spouse ordered a cran vodka and I said I would like to look at the alcohol selection before choosing. She proceeds to bring me and my buddy a beer and my spouse her drink. I explain I didn't order the beer to her amazement. Then I went and found what I wanted to drink, ordered it, and she just FORGOT. 20 mins went by and my spouse finished her drink so the lady asked if she'd like another( I haven't gotten mine yet) so my spouse asked for my drink finally as well. Over all good food and good atmosphere but just need to pay more attention. Oh and my buddies Togo food was forgotten so we had to wait for that as well!?“

North Idaho Mountain Brew, Ltd. Co. Brewery • $$
108 Nine Mile Rd, Wallace

“We spent the day in Wallace to check out the barter fair under the bridge. Always awesome. A local recommended City Limits, and as you can see from the photos the food was fantastic. Huge portions, quick service and the atmosphere is that of an old mine. In fact, the centerpiece of the restaurant is a mock mine shaft/elevator right in the center. They feature some of the local brews from Wallace Brewing, which only adds to the charm.“

“OMG the Mountain Man Nachos! They were So good! I am not a person who tolerates spicy food so I was a little leery of the red pepper queso and the chipotle ranch that came with the nachos. I opted for the red pepper queso because.....well it was queso! ?. I asked for regular ranch instead of the chipotle ranch and of course it was no problem. I LOVED THESE NACHOS! They were so good. Not much to say about the service, very attentive and accommodating. Prices were reasonable.I did not take part in any wine because I am not a wine drinker, but.....They have like 40 different wines in what I can only describe as a vending machine of sorts. They give you a card and it is linked to your bill. You insert the card in one of the dispensers and pick which wine you would like. I think the dispensers will deliver 1 oz, 3 oz, or 6 oz pours. I could be wrong about the 6 oz, it might be 8 oz. I don't remember exactly. It was a pretty cool idea I must say. Never seen one of those before.“
