“Best burger of my life! The Bootlegger. The bacon jam was the jam! The grilled onions were grilled perfectly. The Almquist burger with the ham and fried egg was a meal in itself. Service was excellent.“

“We stayed the weekend at the Brooks just to get out of town. Check in was a breeze even though it was late. I’ve seen some negative reviews but honestly, what I see here is a hard working family, preserving a family legacy with a lot of blood, sweat , tears and hard work. They are fixing this place up, one room at a time. The restaurant was so good and the employees are super friendly and happy. I always look for places like this when I’m going somewhere. It’s much more of an adventure than a chain hotel. This Mother-daughter team are working long, hard hours to refurbish this old building but still preserving the historic Beauty of it. I’ll go back here regularly.“

“The best poutine I’ve ever eaten. And it arrives piping hot on a cast iron plate that keeps everything warm the entire meal. We also had a beef dip that was great. The poutine was the highlight though. And bring a friend to help you eat it. Can’t attach a photo here. It’s in the comments“
