They didn’t and weren’t planning on making any that day but Konrad was kind enough to make one for me and had it ready for us quickly. It was delicious and everyone enjoyed it so much! “I used to love coming here, it was my place of retreat post-partum. Then every visit felt like I was more of an inconvenience then an excited customer. Customer service especially with Yo was non existant, whereas Lexi would be great. My family and I would take the 30 minute drive at least once a week for a goodie from here but I don't think we'll be doing that anymore, which is unfortunate because Mary makes a kick ass cinnamon roll and iced sugar cookie.“

“Tldr; help a local business (Sugar and Rhyme in Elgin) thrive so I can always have amazing croissants I have discovered an absolute gem in Elgin. I have been missing out big time. If you haven't been to Sugar and Rhyme yet, and you love croissants, please go. Also I've only tried one latte, but I like it. So report back with your findings on that matter. I went to visit family in Europe back in like 2008. This place makes the best croissant I've had since then. Like, hands down. It's easily of equal quality. I can't get over it. And they make everything in house. Fresh. Daily. INCLUDING!!!!! all the coffee mixins. The only sad thing is that the store is really small, so you're probably not going to be able to find a seat. But you should still go. I want this place to absolutely thrive so I can have a steady supply of their croissants. Don't let me down, people. P.S.
