I ordered through Sweet C’s website for a birthday and I was behind on ordering due to my kids being sick. Celia was extremely kind despite it being a last minute order that was 100% my fault.

She had 2 dozen cupcakes for me and they were delicious. Everyone loved them - from the adults to the kids at the party. I always order extra cupcakes to bring home in case I can’t sit down at the party and enjoy a cupcake. I only have 2 left over and now have to share with the kids?! Not happy. Next time I’m giving myself a 6 cupcake buffer instead of 4.

Very easy to communicate with, is on time for pick up the cupcakes and you can still upload a design like she had in store. 10/10 recommend. We went with chocolate cupcakes and a vanilla buttercream. The cupcake will so soft and the buttercream was perfectly fluffy and just the right amount of sweetness. Very well balanced cupcake.

The customer service and the cupcakes were both outstanding. Placing my cupcake order for my birthday today with a 1/2 dozen cookie kit for Halloween.

Dietary restrictions: Able to have some accommodations for dietary restrictions but like many bakeries, cross contamination can happen. She has an info section on this on her website.

Kid-friendliness: She was amazing with my youngest who attempted to place a birthday cake order for June of 2025.“

“Beautiful selection of desserts and pastries!! Coming back in a few days to get a big flan for my brother's birthday and I grabbed a personal slice to snack on in the meantime. The flan is thick and silky, the empanadas are soft and I recommend heating them up for a few seconds at home!

All these pastries plus flan plus a Jarritos only $11 and some change. 10/10 recommend you stop by.“

“These cookies are so yummy and pretty, their not too sweet compare to other stores cookies. Frida greeted us with a smile right when we walked in. Even though she was busy with an order I also saw her greet other customers as soon as they came in the door as well. The service was quick. The store was kept clean! “Stopped here for lunch. The establishment was clean and had a nice atmosphere. Great variety of things to choose from. The staff were friendly and quick. The ham and cheese croissant, pistachio spiral croissant, and iced hazelnut latte were very good. My only complaint would be that it is a little pricey but that wouldn’t stop me from eating there again or recommending to others.“

“If you like hand pies , this is the place to go , it's a really cute little building inside and out , and the lady who waited on me was very nice. But The Star of the show were those hand pies, I have to tell you the steak and cheddar absolutely blew me away. Amazing. I bought one for myself and my husband to go and I got the chicken and Leek as well and that did not disappoint either, they were just amazing and then I took a couple of the big chocolate chip cookies home with me. “My grandpa ordered cookies from The Cookie Garden for my grandma and mom every Valentine’s day for as long as I can remember. After he passed away last summer, my sister and I decided to keep the tradition going and surprise them. They both had flavor preferences and I was unable to remember them. I emailed them to see if they’d be able to look up his past orders. I received a response the next morning from Jeannie and she was able to find the past orders and told me the flavors he usually order them. She remembered my grandpa and had planned on calling to check-in with him, since she was expecting his order this year. The shipping was fast and the cookies arrived on the day I requested, they were also able to accommodate to their flavor preferences. The cookies were amazing as usual and my grandma and mom were surprised when they found out who sent them. Thank you so much to Jeannie and The Cookie Garden! 💕“

“Awesome little bakery! I wanted to try a black forest cake - which I can't say for sure I'd ever tasted before - before possibly attempting to make one for myself. After some Googling, scrutinizing reviews, and learning that this place is located only ~20 minutes away from me, I set my sights and was not disappointed. I ordered the smallest one, which is plenty big for only me and proved to be delicious! I hope to return in due time to try the Gateaux au Chocolat. Also picked up a slice of cheese cake for my mom, who said that it was delicious and had a lemon tang.

While I'm glad that I went on a Sunday, the parking lot isn't _that_ small. Yes, there is a sushi place next door, and it probably fills up during peak service hours. But there's even more parking a stone's throw away. I've been to dine-in restaurants on the North side with less parking, lol.“

“I finally got around to enjoying the new spring menu at Goebbert’s Red Barn Cafe. My husband and I took my parents for lunch. My mom and I split the turkey avocado sandwich. It was amazing, and plenty big enough to share. My dad and husband got wraps and enjoyed those as well. I was also able to enjoy the home made tomato soup. It was delicious. Nick is doing a great job running the cafe and we will be back!“

“The bagel shop seems to stay consistently busy! A great thing but their system is flawed. You go in, grab a number & they call that number for you to tell one staff your order. That one staff will begin working on your order & after they’re done, you pay at the register. However there were moments when the staff did not call out numbers & just said “next” or didn’t reference a number at all; then causing confusion & people to go out of order. I was skipped over at least twice due to the confusion. It would be great if the shop could find a way to prevent this, so there’s no confusion. Thank you!

Needless to say I enjoyed the food very much. I’ve heard great things about this place & I will say that the quality of food is incredible. I hope to return & see an improved system to support staff & prevent them from going out of turn. I’ll update my review if I see any future changes.“
