“We visited and tried the Vegan Gyro and the Vegan BBQ Tips, with sides of regular fries and garlic fries. The Gyro was very filling, so I saved the fries for later. The Gyro did have a bit of an unpleasant aftertaste personally, but it was good overall. The star of the show, however, was the BBQ Tips. They were very good flavor wise, and I liked the texture, but my best friend felt that the texture was not agreeable; they were very chewy, so it's mostly just a personal preference. The fries were good; we enjoyed that they had a sort of sweet aftertaste!“

“I ordered the avocado chicken curry with rice! It was absolutely delicious. Very flavourful. Just perfect. My friend got the avocado mac and cheese. I tasted it and loved that too. The portions are large and we brought some home. We got the avocado cheesecake cup for desert and wow! Yummy yummy yummy. They have a kids menu too! I will be a regular customer in the future. Second I decided to go due to the good food and definitely the customer service, again awesome. Third, I enjoyed my food as always with recommendations from the young lady ( forgot her name). All three times I was either on crutches or knee brace. They were so sweet they helped me with my food to car an even told me to pull up to place and they’ll have my order ready for me! They were very nice to help me and for that I’m grateful. They went above and beyond. They made sure I was taken care of. So I brought my daughter there and she agree with the great customer service. Great flavor and perfect temperature and wow, the service we received was amazing by our waiter, JULIA. She was the absolute sweetest and made our experience 10 times better. I had not been to this location but myself and my husband were blown away and will be back. My kids and whole family loved it and even forgot to take pics. Thanks JULIA you were amazing with us especially our little Luca who we were celebrating his 2nd birthday!

I highly recommend this place if you are looking for some delicious soul food. I love the dressing, baked chicken, sweet potatoes and muffins. However, this new location is closer to my house and I would be a frequent customer if they would ever answer the phone. I called both numbers on this page. One is out of service the other never gets answered. I want to see this restaurant succeed. It is Black owned and I want to support it. Please update your number on Facebook to the correct number that will get answered. Until I am able to call to place an order, I will place my order at Daisy's Cafe 2 in Hazel Crest. It's a longer drive, but They always answer their phone.“

“This hidden gem serves the Campus of the University of Chicago and those of us who come in off the street! My parents (both 81) and I came in for lunch. We couldn’t find it at first, but a nice young man happily told us where it was. Inside one of the campus buildings.

We had croissant sandwiches, with side salads and Topo Chico. There was beautiful outdoor seat - most of which was all ready bustling with interesting people (great people watching) enjoying the beautiful weather, wine and fellowship with a beautiful Frank Lloyd Wright house (I believe) right next to them.“

The place could be cleaner as the floor seemed not to have been swept in a while, especially since it was not that busy. Also, there was nobody at the front when we got there and some people even left. We called out, and then someone came out. Having said that, the food itself makes it easy to recommend.“
