Reviews for Cat Daddy's Tavern

Catdaddys's is definitely a dive bar, but it isn't disgusting. The service is great - the bartenders and owner are very friendly. The prices are great and the jukebox is usually loaded with credits when you arrive. The bar is usually pretty empty, so you'll have to bring your own crowd if that's the type of bar you want.

Catdaddy's turned out to be a great place for us to just have a few drinks and kill some time watching the ALCS before heading to dinner at a nearby restaurant in downtown Alton. Rick, the bartender, was very conversational, with the regulars and first-timers alike. Even with the NLCS game featuring the Cardinals on TV when we returned after dinner, the bar was never too noisy, so it was always a good place for conversation and interaction. The drink prices were very reasonable, full review
Last time they hosted their first Wine Club of the season. The place was closed to the public. We got a chance to sample 4 different wines, 2 red and 2 white. The man that did the presenting was very knowledgeable about the wines. As an added bonus a lady from the Olive Oil shop was giving samples and suggests for oils and vinegars to compliment the wines. The place a has a décor of NOLA, of course because of the name. The bathrooms were not very clean and actually very run full review
