We decided to make a whole day in Alton and Firehouse made the list. If you decide to make a day in Alton, this spot should be a must visit. They have a great indoor bar area and a fantastic outdoor bar area. I hope they market the outdoor area because it's perfect for summer and fall. The staff (we had Summer as a bartender-amazing) was great! We went right before Halloween and we learned the area always puts in a great Halloween parade.
It's a great place to have a few drinks. The bartenders are super nice and the owner is funny and friendly. I go down and have some drinks and play darts with my buddies. Always a great time. Ty Jason, Casey and Matt. There's a very eclectic crowd. No racism or concern about sexual orientation. You be you and have a great time.

I stopped in here for a day drink, and was surprised that an IPA was only $2! However, they only take cash, so be forewarned. It's a unique bar that used to be an old fire house of at least 100 years old. Very friendly folks and the bartender was very nice, she knew a little about the place too. I'd recommend stopping here for a watering hole.
