I finally went here for the first time recently, and it was alright. Wasn't sure about the history with the Fast Eddie's name or connection, as I assumed it was like its counterpart where they didn't take cards. It's not too far from the famed bar/restaurant, but in a sketchy part of Alton. You can simply park and walk up to the window and order. Or call ahead. There is no indoor eating. Best chicken around! They've extended their hours and now accept card payment to allow for everyone to come fill their bellies! And they have the soft ice that everyone dreams of! R & A, the new owners are continuing the great work! One of the best local spots in Alton for a good variation of food. The staff is well trained and extremely friendly. Not to mention the amount of philanthropy this business does. Giving back to community is important to me, and I am glad that Fast Eddie's Fried Chicken does just that.
