“Highly recommend! Wow. What an experience at The Vegas Cafe in Antioch, Illinois. The food and drinks were excellent. We had the stuffed French toast, a skillet, pancakes, strawberry waffles, and a breakfast wrap. For drinks, we ordered hot chocolate and iced tea and everything was delicious. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the staff is truly amazing. From the hostesses to our server to the bussers, everyone was hardworking, kind, and genuinely caring. You could feel it right when you walked in. They wanted you there and treated you so well. Then there is the owner, Helen. She is an absolute gem. She introduced herself and spent time talking with us about her family, the business, and getting to know us. Even before she mentioned she was the owner, you could tell by the way she carried herself and interacted with guests. She clearly cares about her staff and her customers. When Helen found out we were there celebrating my mother’s birthday, she went above and beyond. My mom is still talking about it. We are so thankful to our server Callie, the owner Helen, and everyone at The Vegas Cafe. Thank you all for such a wonderful experience. We will definitely be back.“

“First of all, Simon’s a great host who also loves to make software. We’re here all the time, and our team loves coming to Open Mic to work, be creative, and meet with clients. It’s a comfortable, welcoming space that naturally sparks good conversations and cool ideas—some of our best ideas have come out of brainstorming sessions in this spot. Sometimes we’re heads-down getting work done, sometimes sketching things out, sometimes picking up a guitar or playing a little piano between sprints. Great coffee and tea, a relaxed creative vibe, and always something interesting going on. It’s one of our favorite spots in Lake County, Illinois.“

I have made a habit of going on a Friday or Saturday evening, Jackie the host is what keeps me going back, she is a big draw for this establishment, she goes above and beyond for the guest and seems to greet most by name, many have told me they go there to visit with Jackie and play some slots. “This little sweet cafe is primarily a boba spot. But Yhana also serves coffee drinks (w homemade syrups), smoothies, energy drinks .. and a small sampling of foods : smoothie bowls, conchas, and a few breakfast & snack items. I prefer to make my smoothies / juices / hot beverages, and even meals at home - with love, and organic (as able, .. and seasonal, etc). BUT, a Gal does love to get out and support a LOCAL, Latina, BIPOC, business once in awhile ( .. and far less so the big corporations and chains). SO - THIS! PLUS, Anahy (the Proprietor, who's first name and biz are inverted - cute and clever, right?) - is a beautiful, sweet, and good Mujer .. and I'm rooting for her (& Familia)! GO! Drink, nosh, .. and buy some stuff - featuring a few Mexican & Salvadorian items (her familial lineage). “We decided to try this place for the first time and it turned out to be an amazing choice. The food was absolutely delicious and full of flavor. Every dish came out fresh and steaming, straight from the kitchen, which made the whole experience even better. You can really tell they care about serving quality meals. “We have been going here for a while. The other breakfast places around here are nothing compared to whistle stop. The food is always fresh, hot, friendly professional staff and every guest is treated the same which makes us feel comfortable and wecome. I have not had one bad dish everything is great. “10 STARS IF I COULD When we walked in around 5:15pm to go to the cafe the line was really long, so I ordered via app. Omg, Emily was very calmed and collected when people seemed kind of getting antsy. She acknowledged that I was there to pick up my food and gave me a heads up that it’ll take another 3 more min. I told her it was fine and that she was doing a great job and said good luck. She was very thankful. I’m more than pleased with her and would definitely recommend! Great hire manager. Emily definitely deserve a raise.“
