“One of my absolute favorite steak spots. The quality and portion sizes can’t be beat! When given the choice between Ruth Chris and Wilmot I pick Wilmot everytime. I’m fairly certain you get an entire stick of butter with each baked potato too. The history is an added bonus. The museum area is so unique and really walks you back in time. I suspect it may be a little haunted up there but not in a bad way. I’ve never felt uneasy upstairs. Perfect place for a special dinner or when you are craving a perfect steak! If we lived closer we would be regulars.“

“This is the second year we’ve gotten your Thanksgiving dinner, specifically the Son of a Feast for my husband and I. Easily 6+ servings. Absolutely phenomenal! There was not a single thing that I thought was “meh” and the green beans were amazing, much improved since last year. We will continue to get these holiday dinners as long as you offer them! “I have found the best Walleye dinner I have ever eaten here, and my favorite waitress, Tia, is just a real treat if you get lucky enough to be served by her. Have also had other meals at this place, and they were good, but thinking about the walleye makes my mouth water, its that good! Just do yourself a favor and make it to this place on a Wednesday, Tia is the walleye princess for a reason! It;s hard for me think of a better dining experience, I now look forward to Wednesdays.“

Very strange. Your system needs work.I'd give the review one star over Google screwing up. But that's not fair to the bar. 5 stars simply because their rating shouldn't suffer over Google maps being stupid. If this is a Google AI test, it failed miserably.“

“We have visited at least 10 times before since moving back to the area, but tonight we sat outside in the heated patio area. Our service from start to finish was amazing, the food was absolutely fantastic. We usually sit inside by the bar but I cannot wait for summer to enjoy more of this patio! The staff, drinks, apps, food, and atmosphere could not be more enjoyable.“

“We were at the Gurnee location for dinner tonight. Gabby (Gabriell) was our waitress and she was amazing! She greeted us quickly, gave great recommendations, and she smiled the whole time. We will be requesting her every time we dine there!“

“I can't say enough good things about the people at Red Oak. Everyone who works there is delightful, friendly, professional, and accommodating. Their mission of serving local farm foods is also wonderful, and not only helps the community, but I feel better about what I'm feeding my family. The chef crafts a seasonal menu and great specials based around what is in season. Plus the food is delicious. We typically come for Sunday brunch, but dinners are equally great. We live in Illinois but spend time in the area frequently during warmer months, and dine here regularly. Family friendly. Great patio (occasional bees, beware). Fireplace in colder months. Retail items like locally made jams. Highly recommended!“
