“Really great American bar and restaurant. They have a private meeting room that seats 40-50. Waitresses are on the mark with orders and drink refills. They have a great version of the Central Illinois classic Horseshoe sandwich (open-faced with Texas toast, choice of meat, French fries, covered in cheese sauce). Pork tenderloins, either grilled or breaded, small or large, are absolutely delicious. I had the Cobb salad which was too big to eat in one sitting. Definitely worth stopping by.“

“Visited for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. My husband and I were able to sit and have a conversation while our young kids played in the kids corner ( within view ). I ordered the pot roast. Portions were great, food was delicious and presented in a visually appealing way. I feel like the pot roast is the most expensive item on the menu at $17- well worth it for the amount and quality. The fresh baked bread was the cherry on top! Highly recommend if you’re in the area. (The shops on the square are close by, too)Kid-friendliness: Small corner dedicated to kids- has a small playhouse and other miscellaneous toys for the kids to play with while waiting for the food to arrive. “Always a great experience. We had Rick as our waiter and we just love him. He is always so pleasant and welcoming. My husband even said it's hard to find a waiter that treats you like he does. Food was amazing and the service was top notch.“

“The food is good here. However, it is expensive in price. You can easily spend $ 60.00 on 2 kids' meals and 2 adult meals. So you better bring a stack of cash with you. The place is clean and has indoor and outdoor dining, drive-thru, and take-out.“

“I've only ever really gone to this place for lunch, and most of the time It's very good. Unfortunately, they suffer from the same thing that every bar suffers from and that is a high turnover of their cooks. The one thing that doesn't appear to change is the quality of the food that they at least start cooking. They probably have one of the best hamburgers in Springfield. I would much rather go here than any fast food restaurant and pay almost the exact same amount. The bartenders have always been friendly and it's always clean. I would definitely recommend you check this place out if you're wanting a relatively fast tasty lunch at a good price.“

“Went for the first time on Friday, September 10, 2021 and was very glad I went. I had been told of the place and had just not gone. The food was very good, the staff were friendly and helpful. As well, the other customers were welcoming to someone new in their midst. Thank for a great experience, as I will be back.“

“There was an issue with my order. The mac n cheese got left behind on my delivery order. I called about it. I believe she was a waitress that corrected my order. SHE ACTUALLY BROUGHT THE MAC N CHEESE TO MY HOME PERSONALLY. THAT IS SERVICE! not to mention the food is always amazing! THANK YOU SO MUCH!“

“I’ve been to Top Cats several times and have always had a great experience! The food is great and reasonably priced. A true gem, especially in this economy. Blake is also always so helpful. He really comes to the bar hoping to make it a home away from home for everyone who visits which is what you want your local bar and grill to be. We had a bachelorette party in the party space a couple months back and he was so amazing in ensuring it was a memorable time. I wouldn’t hesitate having another event there. My server tonight, Bethany, was just a delight as well. Despite the fact there was a wait, she remained calm, cool, and collected and we never lacked for anything desired even though she was juggling a 30 person party as well. Even though I live in STL (which means I’m exposed to great service and quality food often) I will always make it a point to stop in for either a drink or a satisfying meal.“
