“The menu is extensive, food is freshly made and delicious and the soups are better than any restaurant soup I have ever had.... I have to admit, I am "addicted" to the soups, primarily the Baked Potato Soup. I could eat that every day. I am what one would call "a regular" thru the drive thru for most often, the soup, however, the salads and variety that they offer are plentiful and again, delicious.... Highly recommend the Patio/Aurora, IL.“

“Dickies does a great job with the barbecue! Five or six meat choices. All of them are delicious. The thing with the giant baked potato is truly fantastic.
I'm a little disappointed that the bangers and mash has been taken off the menu and nobody seems to know what I'm talking about anymore but I'm working through my despair... By eating barbecue“

“Friendly service! Food was DELICIOUS! Ordered a Gyro, Breaded Chicken Sandwich, & Zucchini appetizer. Everything was made fresh and hot! They make an in-house garlic cream/sauce that paired very nicely with the sandwich and fried zucchini.

“The food always hits the mark here. I know it’s a chain, but it’s the best barbecue we’ve found in the area. All aspects are what you’d expect from American barbecue from the brisket, the sweet tea, the rotating black plate special, and desserts. When they have cobblers, we’d go just to get cobblers. At some Mission BBQs, the cornbread tastes like how Payless used to smell, but this place does not. The atmosphere can be intimidating for someone that associates patriotism with partisanship, but they are purely service themed and non-partisan, just steer clear around noon if you have scar tissue from being caught outside on base at 0800.“

“Rating this place is difficult because I love BBQ and I’ve been searching for a good one for awhile. The first time coming here (take out) was fantastic. Plenty of food, good prices, good service, and delicious food. The second time (dine -in) following a few months was not the same. Food was not all that tasty and Mac & cheese is always spicy regardless requesting without spice. It just didn’t hit the same. I do enjoy this place and want to visit a third but unsure if it’ll be like loving my first visit or settling like my second visit. Regardless, I still believe this might be one of the best BBQ place in the suburbs, which coming from is says a lot. I have had plenty of ribs from plenty of places!“

“Not only have I loved Hawthornes from when I was a kid growing up in West Chicago! It was the PERFECT place to have my wedding. Lou, Heidi and Kelly did fantastic and helped make my dream come alive! Every question I had they answered and were able to accommodate so much! Heidi was in CONSTANT communication with me and was able to give advice and help me through the whole process. Her suggestions were so helpful and she helped during the ceremony and reception. I could not have done it without them. This place treats you like family and has amazing service! When my husband and I went to pick up our things the next morning we were planning on taking 2 trips and Lou let us borrow his truck that is how amazing and friendly they are! WE LOVE YOU HAWTHORNES! Thanks for making our wedding the best day of our lives(: not to mention EVERY guest couldn’t stop talking about how fun the venue was and there was something for everyone to do, wiffleball, volleyball, giant beer pong, bags, dancing, and more! Everyone was able to have fun the whole time!“
