“My friend and I stopped in at Firewater BBQ in Elmhurst on Thursday Dec. 1st for the "Granny's Lunch Box Special" which is available daily from 11AM-2PM. This was my second visit and my friend's first at Firewater. We both ordered the Angus beef brisket sandwich with a side of 3 cheese Mac & Cheese and a soda. The brisket (smoked for 22 hrs) is amazingly tender and flavorful. It was piled high on a toasted brioche bun and is served with your choice of sweet or spicy BBQ sauce or both if you like. The Mac & Cheese is sooo silky-smooth and creamy and compliments the brisket quite well. There are complimentary pickled jalapeños and sweet & spicy pickles available as well. My friend was so impressed by this amazing brisket that he placed another exact order to go to bring home. The cashier who also took our order was very friendly and polite. We told one of the chefs, Shawn, (pictured) that we really enjoyed the brisket and complimented his skills. My friend and I will both be returning to Firewater BBQ and we'll definitely be letting our family and friends know about this wonderful BBQ spot.“

“We have catered holiday meals from various different restaurants and they all have been good- but yesterday’s Thanksgiving turkey was the best we have ever had. Everyone agreed - everything was great, but typically a few of us don’t care much for actual turkey but yesterday was an exception. Thank you!“

“What an excellent eating experience!! The waiter was friendly and seemed to anticipate our requests. It was my first time in a Korean restaurant and I was glad that my son accompanied me and explained the various foods and choices. It was SO comfortable and enjoyable! The food was AMAZING! “My fiancé and I have been a gyro war. I’m a Skokie Dengeos girl and he’s a diehard Squabs fan. While it’s hard to compete with childhood memories after trying Squabs I totally get it. The gyro was perfectly cooked, the tzatziki was beautiful, the fries were delicious. The absolute standout was the customer service. I was having such a bad day. I confused the gyro plate with the gyro dinner and they took such good care of me. I had cried the whole ride over and left with the biggest smile and a plate of leftovers. 10/10 I will be coming back every chance I get.“

“This place was awesome! My girlfriend and I celebrated our anniversary here and we loved the experience. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was great. There was a big group next to us and at one point the staff put on a loud birthday song and brought out a cake on a plate and started singing happy birthday. The whole restaurant of strangers erupted into cheers and shouts and laughter for this guy. It was hilarious. Our server Abby was very friendly and always checked in on us. We had mentioned that we were celebrating an anniversary and she came out at the end of our meal with this custom plate in the picture. This was such a thoughtful gesture and really brought the experience over the top for my girlfriend and I. Thanks so much for making our night so wonderful!“

“This was a welcome surprise. My family and I would frequent the location in Bolingbrook when it was around. After they closed we figured no other locations would be near us. We happened to be in the area yesterday and saw this location pop up in maps while searching for someplace to eat. As indicated this location is carry out only. We placed the order online and it was actually ready a few minutes before the time given. The staff that we interacted with were friendly. I gave the atmosphere a 5 even though it was carry out only but the restaurant it was in looked 5 star. I was going to complain about the pricing but we were actually pleased with the amount of food we got for the price point. I gave a 4 for the food because while the ribs were excellent the chicken was mushy and sides were fair but not great and I remember the mac n cheese being more palatable than what we got. I would definitely order from here again but not include the chicken in that order.“

“My first visit to Char Kabobs was excellent! I wasn’t sure what to order because I’m not (yet!) super familiar with the cuisine. The chef? recommended the Chicken Boti wrap and it was delicious! I’d asked for it spicy and it had the perfect amount of heat for me. Freshly prepared, flavorful tender chicken, lots of onions, just the right amount of lettuce and delicious sauce all wrapped up in fresh flat bread. I will definitely be back to try more items! Highly recommend!!“

“Nice, clean restaurant and was not too crowded for Sunday dinner except someone's party. Food was okay nothing exceptional that I was anticipating. I have had more tastier Nihari at Usmania, Sabri or Ali Nihari. BBQ was good but karahi needs more reasonable fixing. We liked the paratha poori, Naan and parathas were freshly made and hot to touch. Staff was polite and courteous.
The parking lot needs fixing. We used disability parking but the walkway was so rocky, uneven and so far from the entrance that my dad almost fell with his rollator. It definitely needs fixing before a lawsuit happens“

“Joe's has always been an excellent experience no matter the location. The menu has always been just what you want and body desires. The service and atmosphere is humanly alive and felt with great energy. In my twenty years or so of paying for my wrongdoings I've never had a bad experience at or from Joe's. “We were always missing a good authentic Pakistani style Karahi (goat and chicken) spot in Chicagoland - no salan/curry style stuff but proper Karahi. Super good. Also tried their fish, seekh kebabs, Kher and the signature naans. Everything was fabulous.
The place is beautifully done and creates a welcoming ambience for families. Can’t wait to be back for more.
