“First of all, the service is great. They are all very friendly and professional, they debone your fish at the table, then ask you if you want some lemon oil/butter drizzled over your fish. Then they convince you to have more than you think you want, and you do. The Bronzino is amazing, the stuffed peppers are second to none. The lemon rice soup is amazing. The leg of lamb seems overcooked, but it's extremely tender and flavorful, and served in a delicious au jus. My wife gets the Spartan chicken every time, and she would eat it every day. The desserts are all great. The Greek specialties are authentic and delicious. The roasted potatoes are always cooked perfectly. Most places rush their potatoes, or cook them until they are mushy. Greek Island's potatoes are always perfect. Same with the rice. And I love that I can drive by there and grab a $12 gyros meal for lunch, or bring my family for a birthday and get an amazing dinner and night out, with great service and atmosphere. My buddy came in from Vegas in June, and I brought him here to catch up. Some other old friends met up with us and everyone loved the food and had a good time. We brought the kids, and they loved their tender beef kabas and shrimp, and what kid doesn't love a few plates of Saganaki being flambed at the table, then eating hot cheese slices with lemon juice?“

“What a lovely restaurant! Great food and drink. I ordered the Chicken Avocado Shrimp and Eggs and Pineapple Paloma! They did not disappoint! My food was filled with flavor and cooked perfectly! “First the food was actually really great. The Korean ribeye was what I’ve been missing being a California native that’s used to eating Polynesian and Asian food. Pizza, Spinach dip, and the Martinis was not the best but good fruit mixes. Despite a few mix ups my sisters and I enjoyed the place. BIG ovation to the manager on duty Monday evening that listened and addressed the issue promptly. The staff are very professional and I’m looking forward to another visit soon. Great job guys!!!“

“An authentic gem in the middle of Lombard. Food was fresh and had a good taste. I had a Gordita de chicharrón which was delicious. I also had taco de tripas and I asked for it to be well done. The taco came out crujiente which a lot of places gets this wrong so this was a breath of fresh air. The provided salsas were not spicy but did have a kick and had a good taste. The staff was extremely welcoming overall; great small place. We will be returning to dine here.“

The first crab rangoon was delicious, but the second seemed a bit rushed and the filling was noticeably cold. Hopefully just a one-off, because the rest of the meal was great.
My wife and baby both really enjoyed the food. The location was quiet and cozy, which made for a very relaxing experience. For those who prefer a little more privacy, you can also order directly through the QR code at the table, which is a nice touch.
Our server was attentive, friendly, and provided great service. It’s honestly refreshing to see that level of attention, especially when good service can sometimes feel overlooked these days.

“We’ve missed the Orland Park location so we decided to take the drive to Lombard this evening. The evening was exactly how we remembered Buca! We sat in the kitchen and had the antipasta salad, meatballs, pastas, and the brownie cake. We even talked to a few employees that we recognized from the Orland restaurant.

The employees were all having a great time, the atmosphere was fun, and the food was amazing! We will start putting Buca back on the list of places to go! Hoping they will one day come back closer!“

“Hello Shawarma in Lombard absolutely delivers when it comes to the food! The mansaf and shawarma were amazing and easily the highlights of our meal. This is the kind of food that makes you want to come back and try more of the menu. We really enjoyed everything, and if you’re a lamb fan, I would highly recommend anything with lamb. That would definitely be my first choice on a return visit!

The mansaf deserves a special shout-out—it was a standout dish and something I would happily order again. The shawarma was just as impressive. Both made the visit worthwhile, and I’d recommend coming hungry so you can try a few different things. There’s too much good food here to limit yourself to just one dish!

The fries were okay, but with how much we enjoyed the rest of the meal, they weren’t what stood out. My only real complaint was the service, which was extremely slow. Definitely an area that needs improvement, because the food deserves a dining experience that matches it.

Even with the wait, I would absolutely come back for the food. If you’re looking for great shawarma, amazing mansaf, or love lamb, Hello Shawarma is well worth a visit. Highly recommend!“
