“Best BB.Q franchise for me. Gives the biggest peices, excellent saucing, and service.

For whatever reason many BB.Q Chicken locations only allow you to select only one flavor for a medium order. So if you want two different flavors you have to pay the higher charge to get two small sizes In different flavors. This location allows me to order two separate flavors for a medium order which saves me a headache, and a little money. I am willing to drive 5 minutes further to go to this location than the other 3 or so BB.Q locations that are slightly closer as a result. Keep up the good work guys!“

“We were waited on by Jonathan, who had quite the pleasant demeanor when he arrived. He quickly got our appetizer (wild shrimp) and bread, filled our waters. Soon the luscious steak came. I mean, you can't beat it for taste and value anywhere. I found him (Jonathan) thoughtful when he asked if we wanted more water to go. He and the whole staff deserve your good tips. They've made this Longhorn a very pleasant eatery. Alejandra and one other hostess at the door gave such bright smiles, it made our night. Thanks all!“

You can tell the company really cares about their food quality and customer satisfaction-eg they have steam vents built into the containers and the keep your to-go order propped slightly open until you pick up your order all so that your chicken remains crispy, rather than getting soggy waiting in a closed container! “Oh my goodness. The best BBQ we have had in Illinois. We have traveled to Tennessee, Missouri, Chicago and all over the Chicago suburbs and this place takes the cake. (Peg leg in Nashville still is the over all best we’ve had) We happened upon Porkey’s after our Chicago plans fell through. Wow!!!!!!!!!! We had several plates of meat, a kids meal, sides, and dessert and our bill was less than $50. The staff were friendly, attentive and they offered great suggestions. I was so satisfied with our whole experience. From beginning to end a great flipping meal. They also had the bears pre season game on. Everything was so tasty. I will say this… and it may be fighting words, but their lumpia were better than stix and noodles. We had brisket sandwich, 1/2 lb of pulled pork, chicken fingers, a bao bun, brisket lumpia and bread pudding. On sundays they also have apple cider donuts so yeah we had those too! 5 stars from beginning to end.“

“My friend and I stopped in at Firewater BBQ in Elmhurst on Thursday Dec. 1st for the "Granny's Lunch Box Special" which is available daily from 11AM-2PM. This was my second visit and my friend's first at Firewater. We both ordered the Angus beef brisket sandwich with a side of 3 cheese Mac & Cheese and a soda. The brisket (smoked for 22 hrs) is amazingly tender and flavorful. It was piled high on a toasted brioche bun and is served with your choice of sweet or spicy BBQ sauce or both if you like. The Mac & Cheese is sooo silky-smooth and creamy and compliments the brisket quite well. There are complimentary pickled jalapeños and sweet & spicy pickles available as well. My friend was so impressed by this amazing brisket that he placed another exact order to go to bring home. The cashier who also took our order was very friendly and polite. We told one of the chefs, Shawn, (pictured) that we really enjoyed the brisket and complimented his skills. My friend and I will both be returning to Firewater BBQ and we'll definitely be letting our family and friends know about this wonderful BBQ spot.“

“I've been wanting to try this spot. The meat was fresh and seasoned well. The ladies serving us were so kind. We got the Chungkiwa special, which included all the meats, sliced ribeye, spare ribs, chicken thighs, pork, shrimp and squid. The sliced ribeye and pork were the best! It was enough for 3 people for sure! The side dishes were excellent. Also the dumpling soup was light, flavorful and soothing!“

“Not only have I loved Hawthornes from when I was a kid growing up in West Chicago! It was the PERFECT place to have my wedding. Lou, Heidi and Kelly did fantastic and helped make my dream come alive! Every question I had they answered and were able to accommodate so much! Heidi was in CONSTANT communication with me and was able to give advice and help me through the whole process. Her suggestions were so helpful and she helped during the ceremony and reception. I could not have done it without them. This place treats you like family and has amazing service! When my husband and I went to pick up our things the next morning we were planning on taking 2 trips and Lou let us borrow his truck that is how amazing and friendly they are! WE LOVE YOU HAWTHORNES! Thanks for making our wedding the best day of our lives(: not to mention EVERY guest couldn’t stop talking about how fun the venue was and there was something for everyone to do, wiffleball, volleyball, giant beer pong, bags, dancing, and more! “My first visit to Char Kabobs was excellent! I wasn’t sure what to order because I’m not (yet!) super familiar with the cuisine. The chef? recommended the Chicken Boti wrap and it was delicious! I’d asked for it spicy and it had the perfect amount of heat for me. Freshly prepared, flavorful tender chicken, lots of onions, just the right amount of lettuce and delicious sauce all wrapped up in fresh flat bread. I will definitely be back to try more items! The food was delicious, with a great mix of Pakistani and Indian veg and non-veg dishes. The place was clean, and the staff was welcoming and friendly.

One suggestion: they take orders orally, which led to a mistake in our order. It would be better if they wrote orders down to avoid any confusion in the future.
