“Oh my goodness. The best BBQ we have had in Illinois. We have traveled to Tennessee, Missouri, Chicago and all over the Chicago suburbs and this place takes the cake. (Peg leg in Nashville still is the over all best we’ve had) We happened upon Porkey’s after our Chicago plans fell through. Wow!!!!!!!!!! We had several plates of meat, a kids meal, sides, and dessert and our bill was less than $50. The staff were friendly, attentive and they offered great suggestions. I was so satisfied with our whole experience. From beginning to end a great flipping meal. They also had the bears pre season game on. Everything was so tasty. I will say this… and it may be fighting words, but their lumpia were better than stix and noodles. We had brisket sandwich, 1/2 lb of pulled pork, chicken fingers, a bao bun, brisket lumpia and bread pudding. On sundays they also have apple cider donuts so yeah we had those too! 5 stars from beginning to end.“

“We were staying in the area for an overnight and stopped for an early dinner. BBQ was perfectly cooked. Hubby had ribs and I a brisket sandwich, both were great. His ribs fell off the bone, as they should. Mac & Cheese tasty as well. Atmosphere was nice, staff friendly, and service good. Would definitely recommend if you’re a BBQ lover.“

“Best BB.Q franchise for me. Gives the biggest peices, excellent saucing, and service.

For whatever reason many BB.Q Chicken locations only allow you to select only one flavor for a medium order. So if you want two different flavors you have to pay the higher charge to get two small sizes In different flavors. This location allows me to order two separate flavors for a medium order which saves me a headache, and a little money. I am willing to drive 5 minutes further to go to this location than the other 3 or so BB.Q locations that are slightly closer as a result. Keep up the good work guys!“

“Lately, I’ve been moving away from the ayce kbbq and trying the ones that are a la carte. This one uses oak wood charcoal vs gas-powered/electric grill that most of the Illinois Korean restaurants use. The verdict is that the meat comes out really tasty. When you come in, you might have to reserve a table especially on the weekend. We didn’t reserve, but we were lucky to get a table for 3 on a Saturday night at 7 pm. The restaurant is small so seating can be limited. Parking is sufficient since it’s a shared lot.

The service was very attentive and friendly. This is a family owned and run establishment. We ordered the combination platter (bulgogi, kalbi fingers, and pork belly), mo dum jun (combination platter for appetizers, ggo ri gom tang (oxtail soup). This was more than enough food for 3 people. Banchan is refillable. I would say this is one of the best kbbq restaurants in the Chicagoland area and I wouldn’t mind coming back.

-combination platter 5 - this is good for 2-3 people as long as you have other dishes. Meat cooked fast.
-mo dum jun 5 - fried squash, shrimp, oysters, and stuffed peppers. The stuffed peppers were my personal favorite. Make sure you dip them in the sauce provided.
-oxtail soup 5 - light broth not too robust. Oxtail meat was tender, not chewy. It’s big and shareable.“

The day after my mother passed away my father and I came here for lunch after starting to deal with necessary arrangements. My father mentioned my mother's passing and everyone there was beyond nice and comforting. Christine (owner, manager?) came over and spent at least 20 minutes talking to us and encouraging a good mood in my father. She couldn't have been nicer and even offered some help for the shiva that was absolutely above and beyond. “This is my 2nd time here and I had a great experience twice, 1 for lunch and 1 for dinner. We tried their Chungkiwa BBQ special and it was very good with multiple meat options, all very good quality and flavorful. My favorite was the beef and the spicy pork.
The servers were super nice. AND we got ice cream after!
The restaurant has a very interesting interior design. I love everything about it. Will definitely come back.“

“Food was excellent — 5/5. The chefs behind the counter were very kind, and the manager was also very nice and helpful.

However, the hostess/waitress at the front was rude and unwelcoming. She initially told us to wait because the silverware was not ready. After about 20 minutes, I went back politely to ask for the menu and mentioned that we were ready to order if the wait was going to be longer. She said she did not know and told us we could leave if we wanted. That was very disappointing hospitality.

Thankfully, the manager handled the situation well and had everything ready within about 10–15 minutes. Overall, great food, great chefs, and a great manager, but I am taking off one star because of the waitress’s attitude.

“My first visit to Char Kabobs was excellent! I wasn’t sure what to order because I’m not (yet!) super familiar with the cuisine. The chef? recommended the Chicken Boti wrap and it was delicious! I’d asked for it spicy and it had the perfect amount of heat for me. Freshly prepared, flavorful tender chicken, lots of onions, just the right amount of lettuce and delicious sauce all wrapped up in fresh flat bread. I will definitely be back to try more items! I have had more tastier Nihari at Usmania, Sabri or Ali Nihari. BBQ was good but karahi needs more reasonable fixing. We liked the paratha poori, Naan and parathas were freshly made and hot to touch. Staff was polite and courteous.
The parking lot needs fixing. We used disability parking but the walkway was so rocky, uneven and so far from the entrance that my dad almost fell with his rollator. It definitely needs fixing before a lawsuit happens“
