Some how my pickup order was missing a bunch of items. She spoke with me for a long time on the phone trying to figure out what happened. She then gave me her personal number so I can text her all my missing items, made appropriate substitutions (or offered credit towards next purchase but subs were fine). She apologized again and wanted to make things right. She was so sweet and so genuine!! I love great customer service!“

“Ardor provides an incredibly wonderful culinary experience right here in downtown Peoria. The food is so fresh, high quality, and full of amazing flavors. Their menu features many different options and each is beautifully presented by the very talented crew. I’ve enjoyed watching the staff prepare the food to absolute perfection - Alyssa and Kaitlynn in the mornings and Emily and Zeke in the evenings. I regularly pop in and sit at the bar without a reservation. If you don’t wish to sit at the bar, don't be surprised if you can't get a table without a reservation, and even at the bar there can be a wait to get a seat. Last week I had the tomato soup and grilled cheese and it was the best comfort food. Visit often, try the new items, find your favorites, and definitely take home some bakery goodies. Make sure to try a fabulous cocktail crafted by mixologist, Kostas. You won’t be disappointed.“

“I have had some cookies from this business in the past, but I have never been inside the actual store in Peoria until very recently. The very first things that hit me right when I opened the door were 1) the smell (of course!) It completely enveloped me so much so that it almost felt like a warm hug, and 2) the cleanliness of the store. I also enjoyed a nice and friendly conversation from the young lady behind the counter. “These are some of the best homemade bagels I have had in Peoria. The quality is excellent, they deliver them on Monday mornings for free, and I have to tell myself not to eat them all before Tuesday. Highly recommend everyone give these a try at least once.“

“A few days ago, while on vacation in Illinois, I went in to get some treats with my mom and our friends. Such a beautiful little shop. The service was amazing. Turns out the owner was the server. Meeting Ann was wonderful. I recommend the carrot cake! It was so good and huge too. The rest of my treats lasted me all the way home, 6 hours away, and my first day back home.“

“The coffee is incredible. They roast their own and offer flavors unlike any others I've seen in the area. They usually have vegan-friendly pastries and whatever milk will suit your fancy for a drink. The main sitting area is very chic and cozy. There are spots outside as well as a little nook inside if you need a quieter area to sit. As for the service, i absolutely love these people. They're so friendly and welcoming, and don't just flat out ignore you if you aren't ordering like some cafes do. It's in a beautiful historic building that always gives me inspiration whenever i go there to get work done.“

“I bought some cinnamon sugar donuts and sugar cookies for my son's birthday party as he had a few friends with several allergies attending. I wanted them to be able to enjoy treats as well. There happened to be 1 donut leftover and I tried it. It was AMAZING! Flavor was delicious, it was moist/not dry, and it wasn't overly sweet like regular donuts. I also want to give a shout-out to the owner for responding on such short notice for the ingredient list. I needed to verify the foods would be okay for the kiddos attending the party and she got back with me within a few short hours. Thank you!!!!!“

“We were in from out of town and decided to stop in - so glad we did!! The GPS routed us to the parking lot and we got a little turned around once we got into the parking lot, but we are glad we found it! It’s so cute inside, with unusual collections of chairs and tables in little nooks. The prices are reasonable, the options are plentiful, and the two employees were so genuinely warm and friendly. I wish we lived closer - we’d be there all the time!!“
