“I came upon this café with my boyfriend a while back and I have to say, its the perfect mom and pop breakfast/lunch café. Located in a quiet quaint strip with ample parking. During the summer they even offer outdoor seating to those that would choose. Mimi is always on top of her customer care and knowledge of the menu. You will never have an empty coffee cup and you will always leave in a better mood because of her warm and bubbly personality. That kind of positivity is contagious! Even on slightly busy days, Mimi and her staff work very hard to learn their customers and welcome them back like family. Its very enjoyable observing how warm the staff is to nrw and returning cutomers. This is my favorite breakfast nook now and I know it will be for you too if you truly appreciate a family home-cooked atmosphere <3“

“I wanted to try this place and I have to say when you walk in the manager and team greeted me and said hello, made me feel welcoming. The prices were not bad. They gave me hummus and pita bread and water while I waited for my food to be done. The restaurant was very clean, no complaints.

“This is clearly one of the last diners in Blue Island or surrounding neighborhoods. It was SO nostalgic inside, right down to the kinda-padded seats on the booths. The food is tremendous in taste and price and so was the service! I’m glad to see “staples” like this have survived and could give lessons in good old fashion dining. Thanks DeMars!💛“

“This morning was our 1st time there for our Family’s Annual Christmas Morning breakfast/lunch. Everyone enjoyed their meal and the service was fantastic.“
“One of the best local breakfast or lunch spots in town! I've been by a few times with friends over the last few months and have tried the avocado toast and a few other items. The staff is super friendly and welcoming, and even offered us complimentary soups while we were waiting for our meals, which arrived quickly and tasted absolutely amazing. For the quality of the food, the prices are insanely cheap. The monster cookie is to DIE for. Highly recommend you stop in and check this place out if you need coffee or a good healthy morning or afternoon meal!“
“Beautiful chill spot for burgers and drinks. Beer garden ideal for a summer night. Freshest of chips and guac. Inexpensive and friendly. Used the passport app to park a few blocks away, and my spot was free after 8PM. Very walkable neighborhood.“

“Won't be back and certainly Do not recommend. whatever you do, don't order a meal that includes stuffing. stuffing was the consistency of oatmeal. mushy and had something that resembled mini grapes?? I honestly don't know what that ingredient was. never in my life have I seen that. waitress didn't know what it was either. Waitress asked if I wanted something else instead of the stuffing, but came back and said they wouldn't exchange the side dish. Within 45 min, we both have upset stomachs and bathroom issues.“

“The food was fresh and piping hot as the waitress brought it out to everyone in my 5-person party. I had the meatlovers skillet. The meats were cooked to my liking, no uncooked bacon, and the potatoes were fully cooked to perfection. The eggs were cheesy and blended together easily in my skillet. The pancakes were fluffy and hot with my meal. The wait was semi long for table/booth, but the food didn't disappoint.“

“HAD A PRIVATE ROOM FOR A GRADUATION PARTY. GREAT TIME. THE PERSON WHO BOOKED THE ROOM WAS EXCELLENT AND TOOK CARE OF EVERYTHING. THE BARTENDER AND SERVER WERE GREAT. FOOD AND DRINKS WERE ON POINT. WOULD DEFINITELY BOOK A PARTY AGAIN. THANKS“

“I absolutely love this place. The portions are big and the flavor is even bigger. If your looking for amazing food with good pricing and large portions this is your spot. The only thing I can slightly complain about is service and the fact the waiter wasn't very happy and clearly expressed her emotional displeasure. I understand there was probably a personal reason behind this and everyone has bad days so im not going to hold that against her. The food the quality and basically everything else was so amazing I would still give this place a 10 star review even if it had the worst service ever.“
