“To say this place is phenomenal would be an understatement. I had the banana cream latte with almond milk and it was amazing. They don't make it too sweet like the big chain coffee shops, you can still taste the expresso and the flavoring they use, which is how a latte should be in my opinion. They offer sweetness levels if you prefer it more sweet. Great service, friendly employees/owners, and great atmosphere. I will definitely be back on the next cheat day. I love having places like this around.“

“Booked the Brewery Tour online very straightforward,we received reminders prior to the tour.
Chris was our Tour guide and he was funny & very informative.The Tour was just under a hour.
Visiting from the UK and Goose Island has been a favourite for a long time it was really good to see the process.
We had a few good sized samples and the Bourbon County Stout was lovely.
All the staff members we met were very polite.
The bar area was busy & had a good atmosphere.“

“When heading towards Beverly for a property management home inspection, I wanted to find a local coffee joint that I could get a coffee and a snack of some sort. Afro Joe's was calling to me. Walking in, greeted warmly, the adventure began. If you haven't been, check the menu before you go because you will want to order one of each item! Since it was my first time, most certainly NOT the last, I needed a lifeline. Charmaine to the rescue. I don't know if I manifested or she read my mind , but when I asked which sandwich I should order instantly , she said the short rib! Boom! Done. Next up, a drink choice. Again I was not led astray. The option was a blueberry lavender cold brew topped with rose cold foam. As she was suggesting the option, Charmaine lifted the one she was drinking and again instantly sold. No chocolate croissant available since it was later in the morning but the chocolate morning roll was there and three for three, the order was placed. I already know that I have to come back, time and time again.Just walking in such a chill vibe , perfect music, everyone tables either working or chatting with a friend. The open kitchen invites you to see the hustle and bustle. The garage doors roll up onto the patio for warmer days and what appears to be local art work adorns the walls. When I tell you, this is absolutely no exaggeration, every item was on point! The short rib was so flavor forward eith the bite of picked onions, there was a side of diced pickles and onions too. Also a hit. The warm bun had some fruit nestled in its chocolatey tummy, flakes and moist with the richness of cocoa. And for the latte, cold, sweet and the flavors all complimented each other so well. I did opt for whole milk because, why not?!? I had one too many client emails and texts to be able to enjoy grabbing a book from the shelf but note, they even had the sharpest of colored pencils to doodle or write a note with. I have not one complaint, well, maybe one, I wish they were in my neighborhood because this would be a staple place to visit regularly! “I’m pretty sure this the best Chinese Food, I ever had and I’m very picky when it comes comes to Chinese food.. I ordered a Salmon Bay Fried Rice for the first time and it was cooked perfectly and the meat was plentiful, ever spoon full had meat in it all the way down to the bottom.. And, the kept warm bag was the cherry on top.. I love it!! Definitely a five star..“

“Rejoice! The place for some great Chinese teas had arrived near you! Yes, it does share the fad with the Taiwan born boba drinks. But our eye was caught by the nice website with images of nice teacups and ambiance. Only 23 miles away from home we discovered that the trip in a hot and still pandemic day was totally worth it. In few words owner, Shaolong picked the teaist vibes in us and offered us a great real experience of sharing a favorite tea - he introduced us to the wonders of Zhang Ping Shui Xian (漳平水仙). Unlike the real "black tea", the Pu-erh, this one also comes in bricks, yet is a type of oolong with an amazing floral scent. We were honored with 4 different samples which we are currently slowly and thoroughly testing (3 pics). And yes, the fermentation levels are different - some definitely will give you a great oolong taste, but others are just a unique elixir on its own. But back to the house itself. I see and hope for great unrolling potential. This could become a place for tea lovers and teaists in training. Why not theme days, classes, shared experiences, a club? We would join. The 23 miles are a drive, but there isn't much of a real tea-drinking place in our Chicagoland (unlike smaller cities in North America like Portland and Montreal). However, Living Water Tea House is a great promise and it totally won our full support! Keep the cups warm!“

“We were able able to make a reservation via Google, and when we arrived they were expecting us. The staff is really nice, took our drink order right away (coffee and waters) and then our food order soon after. I loved my endless cup of coffee and banana crepes. One person ordered chiquillas, which looked great. We added meat sides later, which came right away. The bill was totally reasonable (no separate checks tho, FYI), and everyone left full and happy.“

Chef George provided all the necessary instruction and supplies - including a lively starter - for students to start their own sourdough journey at home. The class included hands-on experience feeding the starter, as well as folding and shaping the dough. I had a great time at the class and can't wait to return to try out the breakfast and lunch menu at The Ancestral Oven Bakery and Cafe.“

“A local coffee shop owner in Des Moines and a friend recommended Metric to me and my husband. We love it and come whenever we are in Chicago. Today we had the Maize Mocha special (again) and shared a scallion pastry and passion fruit monkey bread. We want to go back to get these items again now. The coffee, pastries and service are all beyond fantastic! There is no public restroom or indoor seating. The outdoor seating is nice when weather allows. I think street parking is usually easier on the weekend as this is an industrial area.“

1. convenience factor: pull up to the drive through and get a giant slice of good pizza within a few minutes

2. Reasonable prices for said giant slice of pizza

“What a great find! The fries alone make this a 5 star stop. Fresh cut, but seasoned with incredible flavor. The burger was delicious- smashed and juicy. I opted to try their “craft sauce,” even though I am not usually a fan of special sauces. It was more flavorful and spicy than a typical special sauce. The burger was so good, though, it didn’t need the sauce. Perfect food for after a show at Thalia Hall.

Had the pleasure of visiting Grano for a second Sunday in a row. The torta did not disappoint and the cafe the olla, WOW if only I can get one every morning. The service was amazing, so courteous, and prompt with our order without sacrificing the quality or presentation. The cafe is so warm and cozy, don't snooze on Grano plan your visit soon!“

The down side to me has been the wait staff is almost always a bit pretentious. Perhaps I should have paid more attention to see if it was the same waitress that seemed that way.
