“We jumped off the highway for a quick lunch while on vacation to northern Illinois. Found this place on Yelp. It was an easy stop off the highway. The owner recommended the tenderloin prepared fresh in house. They were even kind enough to serve it in separate baskets with an extra toasted bun. It was perfect. Pounded thin and served crispy with all the fixings. I also recommend the fresh haystack onion rings! Would definitely stop here again if in the area.”

“We traveled from Bloomington Illinois for a football game in this nice little town of Brimfield. A few of families decided to stop to celebrate our kids winning their first game of the season and this bar/restaurant is awesome for a family to stop in to have dinner and play some games. The food was awesome The service although it was just a few people working was awesome and timely. The kids all enjoyed playing several of the games. They have horseshoe pits, dart boards, basketball to name a few. If we're in the area again we will definitely be stopping by. We would like to thank the management and staff for being awesome.”

I assume kids are welcome.Wheelchair accessibility: Flat dirt, gravel parking lot, bit uneven. There is a step up to the sidewalk and a step up into the building.”

But the food is more like something you might find in bigger city Texas.The beef brisket was ridiculously delicious. What I didn’t expect was that the chicken would be the best I’d ever tasted. There is something in the rub (I’m sure it’s a highly guarded recipe) that just sets off the savory experience.They’ve only been open a couple months, and I’m guessing word is getting out. “This place has come such a long way from when I was a kid! The new owners have put so much love and detail into this place! Their new food creations are awesome, especially their new Anaheim Sizzler burger! Had it for dinner and had to go back the next day to get it for lunch lol. “Friends of ours told us about this place but we've never been because we're not in Farmington very often. It was well worth the 40 minute drive and we'd recommend it too. A real local family restaurant with the feel of a Wisconsin supper club. We didn't have any brandy old fashioned's but our cocktails were served in mason jars. We had the combo appetizer which includes your choice of three of the various options (mostly fried). We had the mozz logs (mozzarella sticks), bullets (jalapeño poppers) and clams. The clams were by far the star of these options. The house salads were basic but served on chilled plates with homemade dressings that you don't see much of anymore and they were perfect. We ordered chicken alfredo, raviolis with meat sauce and the walleye. Chicken alfredo was not your cookie cutter dish found anywhere, it was generous on chicken and plenty of flavor other than the sauce. The walleye was two nice size pieces that were thicker and more like mass produced cod filets. I'm more of a fan of the thinner filets that curl up when they're fried but the flavor and batter were perfect. The star of the entrees was the ravioli with meat sauce. I'm sure this is how Nonne Scapecchi built her following when they opened over 25 years ago (We think she's the one who greeted us and showed us to our table). Be sure to save room for one of their homemade desserts too. We shared their butterfinger cake and it was delicious. Our server, Tina, was very friendly and accurate with her advice about our menu questions. Bring your cash or use their ATM in the bar for $3 despite what Yelp says on this listing they're cash only. No need for reservations unless you're a party of six or more. We'd recommend this place too if you're looking for something off the beaten path and local with homemade items throughout the menu. We'll definitely be back!”

“Wow, high-quality food! If you order country fried stake like I did, make sure to have it topped by brown gravy. The best side dish, in my opinion, is beer buttered fries, but I got pleasantly surprised also by how good their green beans were.The service was super kind and caring.I would have expected a little bit cozier atmosphere in a cafe, but don't take me wrong: it wasn't unpleasant.”
