“I placed an order to go. Was informed that there was a $3.00 to go charge and a gratuity would be added on the order cause it was over $100.00. After I checked the receipt, $18.35 was the gratuity. I thought it would be maybe $5.00. Very disappointed. Had I known this, I would have come into the restaurant and ate there had them provide me with service. I am a senior and that was definetly not right. I've already instructed my family not to get me gift card from Maple and Jam.“

“Everything a matcha latte should be. Balanced in every way. Also ordered a bagel sandwich which was pretty good - as an East Coaster bagels in Chicago just don’t hit the same however it was decent. Definitely a bit pricey but overall worth it!“

“The space is big and beautiful with lots of natural light and cool views outside! Their croissant breakfast sandwich was a nice big portion and tasted delicious. Love the location behind the Chicago Park District headquarters so you could go for a stroll or check out the park and recreational fields afterwards.“

“Wildberry Pancakes and Cafe has got to hands down be the best food I have had in my 32 years of life. We just got home from a girls trip for my daughter's golden birthday in Chicago this past weekend and I'm ready to hit the road to go back. She ordered the kids Oreo s'mores pancakes of the kid menu. I got the 2 eggs meal which came with 2 eggs, hash browns, choice of meat (got sausage links) and either toast or pancakes. I chose toast. We then ordered her 2 dippy eggs, a side of biscuits and gravy, and got a side of bacon to share. The biscuits and gravy are hands down top tier the best recipe I have ever tasted (I ended up ordering 2 more sides to take home so I would have breakfast tomorrow 🤤). Even after stuffing ourselves with this delicious food none of our group felt miserable in any way. there was no belly discomfort whatsoever. We just felt full and nourished. I will be coming back as often as I can. The food is so hot, so fresh, so flavorful, and overall it was a wonderful experience. Everybody was so friendly , smiley, and just warm personalities. There is quite a wait on Sundays (not sure about other days) but I would wait 4 hours if they told me I had to. They do have an option where you can get on the waiting list online (we did not know that since this was out first time). Now let's talk about their preserves they make in house 🫠🫠 they make a triple berry compote with blackberries, strawberries, and raspberries. It was literal heaven. They sell jars as you are leaving for $11. Guys you have to try this place. I'm not usually someone who leaves reviews but it's so good I can't not leave one. If you want the best brunch food you have ever had in your life I can promise you you WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED. Until next time wildberry keep doing what you guys do!“

“What a gift to the neighborhood. This is a truly fantastic coffee shop. Great coffee, friendly service, wonderful location on the boulevard. They really do well with all the important stuff.

If I’m going to be picky, the furniture is not very comfortable and the tables are small. I’d love to come here more often to work but that prevents it. There is also a lack of outlets, especially at the center community table, which is the most comfortable place to sit by far. These things make this place not ideal for extended stays unfortunately, just my honest feedback. They really kill it with the coffee and service so I will be back and they still deserve the 5 stars.“

I was fortunate to sample these on a food tour, and because I kept thinking about this brownie, I reached out to the guide to get the name of the bakery so I could revisit the spot. “This is hands down our favorite restaurant. We eat here at least twice a week, and the consistency is one of the main reasons we keep coming back. The service is warm, efficient, and always welcoming. The chicken skewers are outstanding. Perfectly seasoned, tender, and cooked just right every time. They are flavorful without being heavy, and you can tell the ingredients are fresh. The Greek salad is equally impressive. Crisp vegetables, generous feta, balanced dressing, and always fresh. It is simple, but done exceptionally well. When a restaurant can deliver this level of quality consistently multiple times a week, that says everything. We highly recommend it.“

“Yesterday I took the Sourdough Breadmaking Class with Chef George at The Ancestral Oven and I just pulled an amazing loaf of bread out of my home oven 24 hours later! Chef George provided all the necessary instruction and supplies - including a lively starter - for students to start their own sourdough journey at home. The class included hands-on experience feeding the starter, as well as folding and shaping the dough. I had a great time at the class and can't wait to return to try out the breakfast and lunch menu at The Ancestral Oven Bakery and Cafe.“

“This was a really nice meal. I was extremely impressed with Danielle. We asked some questions on the menu and she could read recite that menu front to back.

My favorite dish of the night were the scallops. They were perfectly seared and cooked. That dish melted in your mouth.

Not pictured, but the Cod dish was a little underwhelming. Fish was cooked well and I respect the process with cooking in parchment paper, but the artichoke and other components didn't work for me. It needed more acid.

The pork tenderloin and pate were nice. The potatoes needed a little something, the butter can only take you so far.

This is a great French restaurant and I'll be back.“

“My son and I went there today for a nice cool treat. My son says that it’s the best Oreo smoothie he has ever had (he has had many! lol). I got the pistachio ice cream and it’s the most delicious ice cream. Sweet, but not too sweet. The environment is very calming and a great place to have a sweet treat!“

The way in which the fabricating of the chocolate is controlled in such a richly authentic way won me over. My granddaughter loved the samples that we were given. “Lovely spot for breakfast or lunch! We ordered take out but since there was room on the sidewalk patio, we ate outside. Space was very cute and clean. Service was prompt and friendly. I got the Goat Cheese Salad and my dad got the Chipotle bowl. We both commented on the generous portion of the toppings! (This wasn't one of those salads where you're looking for the ingredients! There was plenty of goat cheese, sundried tomatoes, nuts and dried cranberries!) Food was tasty and well-priced so I'll definitely be back to try more!“

“Visited swadesi cafe for brunch on a Saturday. It was quite crowded but found seating after a few minutes. Chilli cheese toastie with gooey cheese and just the right heat was great. Samosa chaat croissant was not bad. The filling was flavorful. But the filling made the croissant a little soggy and the croissant kind of fell apart. Also tried the gulab jamun croissant and malai custard croissant. The filling was really good. But the texture of the croissant was tough and disappointing. Banana cream latte was surprising good.“

“Never been to something like this and found it on google looking for a dessert type place to go with family. It was pretty expensive and overwhelming with options but we just weren’t familiar with this type of place. We settled with a chocolate shake and a chocolate lava cake and it was freaking delicious. It looks like a hot mess but it was 10/10. The flavors aren’t like a normal brownie or cake batter for the cake, it wasn’t Nutella and was melted chocolates, and I never had gelato before and the vanilla gelato was a like custard like cream cheese type of flavor and texture and it was really good.

The shake was super light and fluffy. Hard to describe but different.
