“We have always enjoyed VT but this was poorly managed. We came in on a Wednesday and ask to sit at a booth. The booth they sat us at was right next to a party they had going on. And people were standing right at the edge of the booth and was extremely loud. Why they didn't put the party separated in the empty section by the bar would be more appropriate. It seems they were over the limit on the one side. So we asked to move to a booth that was empty. They said we couldn't move to that booth as it wasn't open. Needless to say we took our business elsewhere.“

“This place has the best food. the steak and shrimp fajitas are delicious. the wings are huge. the drinks are yummy. the staff is amazing and the slot machines are pretty good also :) pool tables and darts are there as well.“

“This place is awesome as staff and customers are very friendly and food is always good. If you want something light the vegetable soup is great and comes with a warm dinner roll. Bar service is great and there are daily food and drink specials. Pizza is also excellent!!!“

Bingo is Wednesday night and a lot of fun, plus the wings are half off that day. Burgers are excellent. Jackie is fun and is always lively. Good people there too. And some slots if you’re into that.“

“Not only have I loved Hawthornes from when I was a kid growing up in West Chicago! It was the PERFECT place to have my wedding. Lou, Heidi and Kelly did fantastic and helped make my dream come alive! Every question I had they answered and were able to accommodate so much! Heidi was in CONSTANT communication with me and was able to give advice and help me through the whole process. Her suggestions were so helpful and she helped during the ceremony and reception. I could not have done it without them. This place treats you like family and has amazing service! When my husband and I went to pick up our things the next morning we were planning on taking 2 trips and Lou let us borrow his truck that is how amazing and friendly they are! WE LOVE YOU HAWTHORNES! Thanks for making our wedding the best day of our lives(: not to mention EVERY guest couldn’t stop talking about how fun the venue was and there was something for everyone to do, wiffleball, volleyball, giant beer pong, bags, dancing, and more! Everyone was able to have fun the whole time!“

“I was able to reserve a table for 10 on Mother's Day. This was our first time visiting this restaurant, and everyone was extremely satisfied with the food. The menu is impressive because of the wide variety of options. We had everything from the wings, brussel sprouts, salmon, sirloin, burgers, chicken parmesan... Everyone's appetizers and dinners were delicious and freshly cooked. There were 0 complaints and even my brother from out of town said that he'll definitely be back when he returns. 10/10. The service was also great.“

“When I used to live in West Chicago a couple of years ago, my fiancé now husband and I used to go there all the time and his Uncle Mike. I recommend this place 100%, the drinks are good, the bartenders are friendly, and the Viper Burger was our favorite. Alan is an awesome guy with a great sense of humor. The atmosphere is chill, welcoming and you'll have a great time. When I say to stop by The Bunker, I mean it lol 😃. Whenever we are in town again, we are definitely going to try stopping by. 😌✨“

“I had had a day and decided to stop into this bar to have a drink under some sun. Wasn’t sure what exactly I wanted and told the bartender Hannah to give me something fruity. She said I got you and made me an absolutely delicious vodka with other mixes drink. It was exactly what I needed. The drink was just as refreshing as being able to walk into a place distraught and be immediately met with comfort and a kind engaging personality. She definitely makes this bar what it is and I will be returning on her next shift.“

We celebrated hockey wins, losses, birthday parties and just hung with some of the best folks in the world! “First timer: I saw The Home Wreckers this past Saturday. I want to recognize them first. Their transitions are flawless! All 4 of the members have God-given talents and are using them! I would follow them wherever they go. (I felt horrible I did not have cash to tip!) Frankies is amazing as well. I got there early and it was low-key. You wanna get a good seat before it fills up later. I enjoyed the atmosphere and the service was great. Ro kicked but moving from table to table. I would suggest buying a bottle of wine. (Apprx.30bux) Larry seemed very in-tune with the crowd as he watched the door, as well as, helped assist the server as he bounced through the dancing customers. This portrays an experienced Manager doing more than just one task at a time. I will go here every time I get the chance!“

“Great food, but they have a limited of certain section on certain food. Most of all the liquor is beer, but does have cocktails and other drinks. I love the lights it gives a romantic outdoor feeling. I went with my friend and enjoyed it. I had a Pork sandwich and she had a Philly steak sandwich.“

“service was awful. wings were small and they only had half of the meat on the leg pieces. then they charge 3 dollars for the sauces. the tea tasted like it was old or going rancid. I've been there about a year ago and had a good experience. I won't be going back. the waitress got the order wrong as well. Zero stars this time around. unfortunately there won't be a next time.“
