“We have always enjoyed VT but this was poorly managed. We came in on a Wednesday and ask to sit at a booth. The booth they sat us at was right next to a party they had going on. And people were standing right at the edge of the booth and was extremely loud. Why they didn't put the party separated in the empty section by the bar would be more appropriate. It seems they were over the limit on the one side. So we asked to move to a booth that was empty. They said we couldn't move to that booth as it wasn't open. Needless to say we took our business elsewhere.“

“We love this place, very good food and newspaper coupons are frequent. However, I’ve loved their chicken for years but something changed about 2 years ago. I think they may have switch cooking oil or something. Chicken is now bland and a little “off”“

“What a great bottle shop! I came to this shop specifically for a couple styles that were in stock as well as to pick up some Oktoberfest styles from breweries not available in my area. Really friendly proprietor with a clearly marked bottle selection. Prices were actually impressive! I've been to other bottle shops that were smaller and far more expensive. Enjoyed a tap at the bar as well. It was early on a Tuesday, so pretty quiet. I am sure the weekends get crazy. I even lucked into a parking spot right out front!“

“I absolutely love Nels! My favorite bar in the DuPage area by far. It feels like the hometown Cheers. Everybody knows everybody, everyone is welcoming. It’s friendly and a great place to meet people. Or bring a group of friends. Ashley who Bartends on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturdays has really made this place welcoming to all. The karaoke is super fun on Friday and Saturday nights. Drink prices are the most reasonable around. Highly recommend! It is become our regular spot on the weekends and for a weekday nightcap! The crowd is all ages from 20s all the way to 70+.“

“Thank you Molos for a wonderful evening. We hosted a small birthday celebration with 20 people. The room was cozy and private and since we had dined before we knew the food would be awesome. We did appetizers of course. The Baked Feta was a huge hit as well as the Saganaki of course. We ordered Greek Salad for each table and our guests ordered off the menu. I’m sure it was a challenge for the kitchen but they handled it very well and everyone enjoyed their meal. We had one server, who’s name I did not get, (may fault). She was awesome! In the end the entire night could not have gone better and even with drinks, wine, and desserts, ordered as our guests desired, the price was very reasonable. We all highly recommend Molos!!“

“Not only have I loved Hawthornes from when I was a kid growing up in West Chicago! It was the PERFECT place to have my wedding. Lou, Heidi and Kelly did fantastic and helped make my dream come alive! Every question I had they answered and were able to accommodate so much! Heidi was in CONSTANT communication with me and was able to give advice and help me through the whole process. Her suggestions were so helpful and she helped during the ceremony and reception. I could not have done it without them. This place treats you like family and has amazing service! When my husband and I went to pick up our things the next morning we were planning on taking 2 trips and Lou let us borrow his truck that is how amazing and friendly they are! WE LOVE YOU HAWTHORNES! Thanks for making our wedding the best day of our lives(: not to mention EVERY guest couldn’t stop talking about how fun the venue was and there was something for everyone to do, wiffleball, volleyball, giant beer pong, bags, dancing, and more! “When I used to live in West Chicago a couple of years ago, my fiancé now husband and I used to go there all the time and his Uncle Mike. I recommend this place 100%, the drinks are good, the bartenders are friendly, and the Viper Burger was our favorite. Alan is an awesome guy with a great sense of humor. We tried the avocado toast and yogurt, and both were okay, but not great or particularly memorable. Overall, the food was decent, but the restaurant could definitely improve its vegetarian options and variety.“

“We celebrated our 20th anniversary at Sullivan's Steakhouse last night and it just felt right from the start. Great energy, great food, and the kind of atmosphere you want for a night like that. They really went the extra mile too. A personalized card and flower petals on the table when we sat down, a photo card to take home, and a complimentary dessert with “Happy Anniversary” written in chocolate. Those little touches made it feel special. Manny was awesome. Attentive, easy to talk to, and had a great feel for timing. Never rushed, never waiting on anything. “Barrelman's Room is my go-to place on a Friday or Saturday night when I want delicious cocktails and cozy ambiance so I can actually talk to my friends & hear each other. It's usually pretty easy to get a table, the staff is helpful with recommendations and I love the "secret" feel of it. I recommend it to anyone who wants a night out without a long line or wait. “I've traveled around a LOT selling my wears and no place I've ever been has good hotel food, except here. Every year I always buy food from them. Super yummy and you get a lot of food for a decent price. This is the one time I don't have to worry about bringing food because they have options for all. Service is outstanding and the folks are super kind. So put your mind at ease and give them a try!“
