“Came here last night (2-23-25) a couple hours before close. We had a group of about 10 of us. The food quality is whats expected when you go to Olive Garden. Im writing this review specifically to speak on how great the service was. I believe our waiters name was Nick M (at least according to the receipt) and he was fantastic - especially for us being a big-ish group coming in a bit late in the night. Nick was attentive, courteous, funny, and kind. He checked up on us and didn't forget a single item for anyone or make a single mistake! He was also overall very kind, which our table needed as we have been going through a rough time. Thank you, Nick, for your great service and spreading your kindness to some folks that really needed it 1000/10! You're a rockstar!“

“This isn’t the fanciest place in the world. But you know what? Many of the best Asian restaurants aren’t. This place is a spinoff from a larger Asian chain. Unlike many other restaurants of this nature, there are a large number of excellent Korean dishes. And unlike most, there is consistent good quality in several different types of Asian cuisine. Often you’ll find an Asian restaurant that has very good Japanese or Chinese food but lousy Thai food. Here everything is consistently good.

But with that this place apart is the Boba. This is probably the best Boba we’ve had in the Midwest. And despite my name, we are an Asian family! We know our Boba. And this is our first choice outside hopping on a plane and flying for 15 hours.“

“I absolutely love this Olive Garden location! The highlight of my visit was our amazing waitress – she was outstanding. Even though the restaurant was busy, she took such great care of us, made sure we had everything we needed, and even brought a kids’ menu for my child with so much patience. She truly made our dining experience special and enjoyable.

After the meal, she surprised us with delicious green mint chocolates, which my child loved so much that they asked to come back again next time. I’m certain this will become one of my favorite restaurants. The only downside is that it’s a 30-minute drive from my home, but it’s totally worth it. The food is delicious and affordable, the atmosphere is warm and comfortable, and every visit leaves me in a great mood. Highly recommend!“

“Always a must stop on my way to or from the Brookfield Zoo. I don't live in the area any more, but when I visit I always try to hit up Mr. Submarine. I don't know what it is, because at face value the ingredients are just OK. But when you get that shredded lettuce soaked with vinegar and oregano, and the not quite sure what kind of cheese it is, mixed with a true sub roll and solid deli meat. It's a beautiful thing. And the grumpy guy behind the counter, he's been there for 30 years. Different faces over the years, but it's the same guy. Just part of the experience. Never change Mr. Submarine.“

Walking in, you're welcomed by two doors. The outer door slams, leaving you with a jolt of fright and embarrassment. The inner door opens you to what can be described as a small ma and pop shop with two visible tables and 4 seats each; making this a carryout spot but, leaving you with a seat or two if you're on lunch and looking to rest for a bit while eating. I'm pretty sure this was the first time I've eaten food from this restaurant but I am certain, after tonight, it won't be the last.

When it comes to eating Chinese cuisine, I usually have to prepare myself for sodium overload. That wasn't the case here. Every dish prepared for us was cooked perfectly. I could actually taste the other flavors they cooked into their food aside from salt which I've come to associate with most food from Chinese restaurants I've eaten at. The Orange Chicken was also really really good but, diabetics beware, it is extremely sweet; so make sure you have that insulin pen ready for after your meal. I should also mention that their food portions are very generous.

One other thing of note: I scheduled my food to be ready 30 minutes before my arrival. I showed up 5 minutes early and they were still cooking my order. The owner explained to me that they made sure to cook the food as close to the time of arrival as possible to make sure it's still hot by the time I got home with it; given that I show up on time. Most places just cook and let it sit until you show up so I think that was really cool of them.

All in all, I really enjoyed their food and if you're looking for a small ma and pop place that values good and fresh food, you've hit the nail on the head here.“
