“Such a gem- seriously! Cute, charming and well crafted Columbian coffee. They roast in-house. It’s authentic. Such a positive vibe here. Owners are so nice. The staff is so chill and kind. Seriously though, it’s a good coffee spot without pretentiousness and ego. You know what I’m talking about?? You do 😉. You know exactly what I’m talking about. They have events and pop-ups on the regular and DJs on Sundays, like all the time. Give them a follow and get here. One of the best local roasters in Chicago. Period. Boom 💥 10/10 recommend.“

“A local coffee shop owner in Des Moines and a friend recommended Metric to me and my husband. We love it and come whenever we are in Chicago. Today we had the Maize Mocha special (again) and shared a scallion pastry and passion fruit monkey bread. We want to go back to get these items again now. The coffee, pastries and service are all beyond fantastic! There is no public restroom or indoor seating. The outdoor seating is nice when weather allows. I think street parking is usually easier on the weekend as this is an industrial area.“

One of the best parts of living in a big city is discovering hidden gems just around the corner. This coffee shop is practically a secret—I had a hard time finding it until I was nearly on top of it!
Stepping inside transports you straight to the 1920s. The coffee is fantastic, the service is friendly, and the atmosphere evokes the charm of old Chicago.
This is a must-visit spot if you can find it!“

“Moved to West Loop from Portland a couple months ago have been so disappointed in the coffee here I’ve been forced to detox my caffeine addiction. Stumbled upon this place today knew the second I saw barista with a cute smile and pink hair I was in good hands, even more delighted to learn you guys make your syrup in house. Matcha was 10 out of 10 can’t wait to come back and try the coffee.“
“Whenever I am at Whole Foods which is several times a week, I never fail to get my coffee here. The staff are very friendly and good looking. It's always a pleasure to sip my coffee at the bay window or in one of their tables. It's my favorite place to visit. The place is strangely relaxing and pleasant.
