I unintentionally visited Dim Dim when its neighboring restaurant, Furama, was closed on Tuesdays. The rice crepes were fantastic. I tried the char siu pork and the shrimp versions. The pork had just the right amount of fat to meat ratio. The shrimp crepes consisted of two perfectly cooked shrimps in each crepe. I also had the shrimp rolls. They were light and crispy. Service was poor, I was kind of ignored but eventually got my order and food, and instead of waiting longer for the check, I went up to the counter to pay. The Lily flower, black fungus, chicken dish I got for dinner was veeery mild in flavor aside from ginger, and majority of the chicken was bones, particularly tiny ribs and vertebrae. Very authentic Cantonese dimsum and cheap meals. If you want the no frills and good food this is the place. Just look around you and you can see these are you aunties and uncles eating here. Not your cool friends from last nights club scene ?You also won’t get the friendly and respectful service from the waitress. They want you to order without any stupid questions, eat fast, leave a decent tip and give the table to the next aunties.
