“Me & my mom wanted breakfast the morning after the AC/DC concert on May 24th 2025. So I googled food near our hotel and it brought up 2 places on our way back home. So we decided here so we drove to this area and parked. When we got inside at first I was like I don't know about this place for breakfast because of the vibe I was getting at first seemed more like a place for dinner. We got sat down to our table and even looking at the menu I was still getting the vibe they were more of Diner for lunch and dinner. I almost told my mom lets go and pay for the drinks and lets go because the options for breakfast were somewhat limited.
Well thank goodness I bit my tongue and just let ride because I was completely wrong. We ordered it was super busy gave us time to look around each of us. The old skool diner look was so amazing and cool. Having old school candy, soda and ice cream too is something you don't see too often especially in a big city like Chicago. It gave you that old style diner my grandparents and my mother went to in their younger years.
My ice tea was some of the best ice tea I have ever had from a restaurant. Then our food came out. Omg 😲 😱 our eggs were huge with nice big strips of bacon. And the sausage links were some of the biggest ive ever seen. Me and my mom got different sides she got pancakes and I got French toast. I have never seen French toast so big and thick as well and so much flavor the syrup just added to it. My mom's pancakes were as thick as sandwich. I got to taste some of them and they were so fluffy and delicious as well. Everything was absolutely perfect and i mean perfect some. Everything was cooked to superb perfection. I haven't had a breakfast soo good like this in my life. Again I am so happy I didn't say lets go and find another place I would of regretted it.
Oh let's talk about our waitress she was absolutely wonderful always checking on us making sure my tea was refilled and my mom had plenty of coffee too. Oh the bus boys were on point too always clearing the tables around us and taking a plate when we were done. The manager even came around to ask how everything was. Our hostess that sat us was so friendly too. This place was everything and more.
So if you're looking for an old skool diner that has out of this world food look no further than Eleven you won't regret it“

“I have been coming to Ed Debevic's since I was a child. My uncle would take me every time I went to visit him in the city. Working for Ed's was a dream of mine that never came true. and that's okay because i got to go as a fan 😉. My last visit with my uncle was on my 21st birthday, 14 years ago. He has since passed away. I finally was able to take my kids and husband for the first time this last weekend. We had a blast! Thanks, Ed, for making traditions and memories for a lifetime! Now my son says he wants to work here one day.“

“I went to Chicago Diner twice during my most recent visit to the city, and I’d go back anytime. It’s an amazing place for vegetarians- it has that classic American diner feel, but you don’t miss out on anything just because it’s all vegetarian.
The crowd is really diverse, the food options are great, and the service is quick and efficient. Highly recommend!“

“I loved it. Have been passing by this place since over a decade ago and never had the time. By coincidence I checked it out a few days ago and I ordered a double cheeseburger with onion rings and it was delicious! I also had a chilli which I recommend if you’re into dips! Very good service. Modest prices.“

“The food was good but the service was meh. We had to tell the waiter to several times to bring silverware, cream, napkins etc. They were not that busy it seems like they were not organized im still waiting on a spoon for my grits, I ended up using the same spoon that I used to stir my coffee.“

“This place has an awesome menu! We were on vacation and stumbled upon this gem. It was a humid 90+ degrees outside and our meals came with soup, which sounded horrible, but oh man did it hit the spot. I wish I lived nearby during the winter. I would be there daily!“

“Entered the restaurant a little after 4:30pm and was greeted by a waiter/host. Few people were there and the atmosphere was relaxing. Placed the roast turkey and dressing order. Shortly people started to arrive. Within minutes the order was ready.
Pleasantly impressed to have a good night and to enjoy the meal!“

“For a late night spot this place is great. I ordered ahead and picked up some food. I got the chicken kabob dinner and was pleasantly surprised. Even in the to-go container the presentation was great, the food was nice and hot and most importantly DELICIOUS!“

“we are glad that this place was open late after coming back from a party. We ordered food from this restaurant and we figure if it’s late most likely the food is not cooked right but we was wrong. We ordered several platters between the party we had we had a great time. Food was amazing. Servers was greatafter that. It was time to go home and sleep just restaurant ended our night with a perfect night.“

“The food was good! My only complaint is that we asked for our szechuan beef to be extra spicy, and it was made not spicy at all. I know my boyfriend and I are simple white people, but all we want is our Chinese to be so spicy that we poop fire the next morning. Is that so hard to ask for? 🥲“
