Fornetto Mei

As of June 2023 this is now called Kirei. It's a Japanese-American fusion restaurant in the Whitehall hotel. We had an excellent breakfast and others around us gave equally high praise on their breakfast. Looking forward to returning for dinner.

So to be honest, the only reason I stopped in here was because I'm staying at the adjoining hotel and it was quick and convenient on a cold Friday night. The place is much larger than it appears and really nice on the inside. Intimate lighting, ample seating. Most of the customers were belly up at the bar so that's where we sat. I had been craving pizza and hadn't been back here for a long time. It's part of the Whithall Hotel and it's never very busy. I'm glad I made the time to go back. The same chef is still making her delicious thin crust pizza. While my favorite pizza is Spaca Napoli, I can say this is my favorite in the Gold Coast area.
