The first thing I noticed was how engaging the hostess was. We were seated upstairs and we loved the feel of privacy there. Our server was Blake a conscientious young man. I informed him that this was our first visit and he walked us through the menu and specials. We order various cuts of steak and one chicken meal. Our server, Omar, was the best! Food and drinks were top notch. The ambiance was wonderful.
We have been to many Mastros including this one. For some reason this time was awful. The meatball app was flavorless and watery. The sides were subpar and but the steak was fantastic. Butter cake is always good. The service was god awful, so slow and one of the waiters was switched out because he was so bad.
